My first Guitar is a 7 String, there wasnt a 6 string version of it, so i went with a 7 as my first guitar…
bought a 7 string a couple of months ago but kept on ignoring the low b because i didn't know how to incorporate into my playing. can't thank this video enough for getting me started!
Thank you as a new player this was great to use.
That link advertises a price of $77 dollars and then tries to charge $241 dollars. I know this is an older video but you should try and update that link
this is wholesome
Great video man! Having a tough time adapting to a 7 string guitar, been through a few now but I’m sticking with an Angel Vivaldi 7 string for now. I get really bad wrist pain and pain in my thumb joint but when I switch back to my San Dimas models everything is fine. Did you have any pain making the transition? Any tips on overcoming this? Cheers!
I'am a great beginner and I've decided to start on a seven strings (the Schecter Omen 7 Ext), a lot of people asked me "but why don't you begin on a 6 strings like everybody?) Because I love this song and I think in music it's important to enjoy what your learn (sorry for my english speaking)
OBCD?
I just wanted to rock Korn. Got a $200 Jackson 7 string.
Thank you for those simple chord progressions. Sometimes I need to be reminded of stuff like that to get the creativity flowing. I've been using my 7 like a more downtuned 6 and I need to change that by being more aware of what's available.
So glad I found your page. Wish I had subscribed sooner.
Just bought a seven string. This helps so much. Thanks bro.
Great video . I will purchase your cd
Friggin Jeff Loomis makes every want a 7 string and also makes them want to get rid of it as well. That friggin' dude!!!
I picked up an Ibanez rg7321 for 50 bucks but don’t know where to start… seems to be a bunch of different tuning’s available ????????♂ are the riffs in your lessons in B Standard?
thanks, im getting my 7 back tonite..like you said i gave it up but now i understand
Awesome coverage of things to consider on a 7 string. I've contemplated one, but haven't seriously looked. Google suggested a "best 7 string" article which after reading I quickly came here.
I'd love to try some of that just down and extra dirty B string one day, but might have to offload an existing guitar to do so.
One question: have you played other 7 strings and if so how much would you say the very nice ESP E-II has helped with your choice to keep it or just playability in general? They're more expensive than any of my other guitars , but I've got a Ibanez Prestige and there is something about it that's just beautiful to play.
And think we have to say Keep it EXTRA metal with a 7 string ????????????????
THANK YOU SO MUCH MR!!!! Soon Im gonna be getting my first "budget" hb 7string my first first guitar and I think your video is gonna help me a lot! Thank you from advance and have a great day 🙂
12:32 ????
That is impossible for the first week or more ????
very helpful. in process of purchasing a headless 7
Hey brother ????
Glad i stumbled onto this, cool vid.
Iam about to get my first 7 string, after mucking around with 6's for quite awhile. Ive been a huge fan of KoRn and other bands like Fear Factory, since the early/mid 90's, so actually a bit surprised its taken me so long haha
The shameless pun/plug was good too bro and really enjoy your playing and just whole general attitude so i think ill be checking out your CD
Thanks ????????????????
Edit I went to buy your CD and a shirt… didn't wanna work, do you ship to Australia or nah?
I tune my 7 string guitar to drop A, then immediately mindlessly chug chug CHUG.
Judge me, its fine.
This guy enjoys metal
Do you think as an absolute beginner(day 1 new to guitar) a 7 string would be fine to learn on?
Dude you are the best teacher on youtube. You dont talk to us like we are mini steve vais and i appreciate that. Ive been learning alot on your chanel THANKS BRO
Wheres the backing track? Can we download it?
so, im llegally bliind, or visuallly impaired if you will. i cant see good at all, so when i bought my ibanez i didnt realize it was 7 strings until i had it at home. didnt have any ententions of buying a 7 string but i cant put it down. also it would be embarasing t bring it back
7 steps for a 7 string, haha! one step for each string! whattt?????????
????
I bought my dream guitar and didn’t realize it was 7 strings- I only know how to play 6 strings so I’m hoping this helps me out
Thanks for the tips. Much appreciated!
He is kinda brutal and cute at the sam time
it's probably already been said by someone else, but it sounds/looks like tremolo picking which is common in a lot of Amon Amarth songs… so basically every metronome tick you play 4 of the same note. I could be wrong cause i am not a music theory based player lol.
Nice video, thank you. I just got a 7 string as I already have my Strat and Les Paul, and was tired of de tuning my LP so I got the Ibanez Apex 30 7 string for ultra low, “A” tuning Korn style haha. So I’ll stick to the other 2 for general play and my 7 string for low note anger release ????
