  • That link advertises a price of $77 dollars and then tries to charge $241 dollars. I know this is an older video but you should try and update that link

  • Great video man! Having a tough time adapting to a 7 string guitar, been through a few now but I’m sticking with an Angel Vivaldi 7 string for now. I get really bad wrist pain and pain in my thumb joint but when I switch back to my San Dimas models everything is fine. Did you have any pain making the transition? Any tips on overcoming this? Cheers!

  • I'am a great beginner and I've decided to start on a seven strings (the Schecter Omen 7 Ext), a lot of people asked me "but why don't you begin on a 6 strings like everybody?) Because I love this song and I think in music it's important to enjoy what your learn (sorry for my english speaking)

  • Thank you for those simple chord progressions. Sometimes I need to be reminded of stuff like that to get the creativity flowing. I've been using my 7 like a more downtuned 6 and I need to change that by being more aware of what's available.

  • I picked up an Ibanez rg7321 for 50 bucks but don’t know where to start… seems to be a bunch of different tuning’s available ????????‍♂ are the riffs in your lessons in B Standard?

  • Awesome coverage of things to consider on a 7 string. I've contemplated one, but haven't seriously looked. Google suggested a "best 7 string" article which after reading I quickly came here.

I'd love to try some of that just down and extra dirty B string one day, but might have to offload an existing guitar to do so.

One question: have you played other 7 strings and if so how much would you say the very nice ESP E-II has helped with your choice to keep it or just playability in general? They're more expensive than any of my other guitars , but I've got a Ibanez Prestige and there is something about it that's just beautiful to play.

And think we have to say Keep it EXTRA metal with a 7 string ????????????????

  • it's probably already been said by someone else, but it sounds/looks like tremolo picking which is common in a lot of Amon Amarth songs… so basically every metronome tick you play 4 of the same note. I could be wrong cause i am not a music theory based player lol.

  • Nice video, thank you. I just got a 7 string as I already have my Strat and Les Paul, and was tired of de tuning my LP so I got the Ibanez Apex 30 7 string for ultra low, “A” tuning Korn style haha. So I’ll stick to the other 2 for general play and my 7 string for low note anger release ????
