  • I’ve had this guitar for 5 years and use it for recording many different styles like metal, hardcore, indie and Lo-Fi. I have a few things to say about it.

There’s a couple small downsides. The tone pot doesn’t feel too solid, and apparently that’s a fairly common issue because of the push pull, but it’s also an easy upgrade. I also find that, mostly due to the neck through design, it does need a truss rod adjustment about twice a year, at least in Canada where we have real winters.

Other than that, this is literally my favourite guitar I’ve ever played. If I could only have one guitar and price wasn’t a factor, I’d still get this one. It’s insanely well built, super high quality and just feels like a very finely tuned machine.

I’ve heard some people don’t like the pickups, but I think they’re fantastic, especially for high gain, it’s just a preference some people have I guess. Also, in split coil mode, these things are AMAZING for cleans. Usually split coil pickups sound kinda weak and anemic. These don’t at all, they are much closer to a proper fender single coil than any other split I’ve tried.

All in all, very versatile, sounds great at everything, plays better than most custom shop guitars I’ve tried and has similar build quality. I can’t recommend this thing enough!

  • This guitar in that blue finish is on my wishlist.

Found the orange finish version in used condition in my guitar store and tried it out and fell in love.

Albeit, the price is more attractive for the used one in orange, but im longing for a blue one to be in contrast of my hellraiser's red quilted maple top.

  • I just played one today. Having not really got on with 7 strings in the past, I realised that the fanned frets make all the difference. Absolute beast of a guitar.

  • For those considering this guitar.

I’ve owned Aristides, Kiesel, Strandberg and Abasi’s

This guitar stacks up to Kiesels and Strandys I’ve had. If you make simple upgrades like locking tuners, steel frets, and pups, you have yourself an exceptionally well made “mid range” guitar.

I’m actually baffled how little known this guitar is with how well designed it is. If it weren’t for the nickel frets I’d say it’s a steal for the price.

    Anyhow, highly recommend this guitar!

  • I've got the lefty version.. great guitar. I did change the tuners for locking type though. Nothing wrong with the originals but just prefer locking types for quicker string changes.

  • to me seems unlogical such tilt around 1st fret . it breaks the brain and fingers to play cords . i guess.
