SAME OLD LANG SYNE Singer FOGELBERG LOST SONG
Discover the heartbreaking story behind the song that brought Dan Fogelberg to tears and why he made the decision never to perform it live. Delve into the emotional journey of this iconic song and the personal reasons behind its powerful impact on the legendary musician. A true tale of art, emotion, and vulnerability.
Dan Fogelberg is known for several albums, but many consider “Souvenirs” (1974) to be his greatest work. This album features a blend of folk, rock, and soft rock, showcasing his lyrical storytelling and melodic prowess. It includes popular tracks like “Part of the Plan” and “To the Morning,” which have remained fan favorites over the years.
Another highly regarded album is “Phoenix” (1979), which includes hits like “Longer” and “Heart Hotels.” Ultimately, the “greatest” album can be subjective and may vary based on personal taste, but “Souvenirs” is often highlighted in discussions about his best work
The ‘Home Free’ album has such an amazing set of emotional, musically pleasing songs, I re-listen often. Gentle thoughtful music, ending with the rocker ‘The River’,
most of the instruments having been played by him.

I’m 70 now, in the 1970’s and 1980’s I bought a lot of the Dan Fogelberg’s LP, used to listen to all the time. Still got those in my LP cabinet.
That “Same old Lang Syne” is one of my favorites. It always made me think of the one girl that I wasn’t able to stay with. She was special and now even all these years later, think of her fondly
"Leader of the band" is not just a wonderful son about his father, listen to it again and think of "JESUS" !
So underrated and my favorite singer of all-time.
