Old Blood Noise Pardner Fuzz: Unboxing & First Impressions | Working Class Music

Today we’ve got our hands on the newest pedal from our friends at OBNE, and it’s the Pardner. This is one crazy combination pedal, and you’ll find out why in this Episode of Working Class Music. Special THANKS to the folks at OBNE for sending this out to us!

  • That sounds so sick with the Jazzmaster and both channels stacked. A lot of care was clearly put into making sure all this pedal's discrete parts worked well together, which is tough to do with filtering plus stacked distortion. I think my dream pedal right now would be something like a 1981 DRV mashed up with a yellow-box Ibanez flanger, with a similar routing switch.

  • Loved the demo! Would like to see Old Blood Noise Endeavors combine the harmonic portion of the Blackcap with the reverb used in the Dark Star! Even better would be a switch that allowed the tremolo before/after the reverb like what they did with the Rever and Minim!

  • They should combine Screen Violence and Excess v2's – particularly the time based and modulation side of Excess, coupled with the Violence side of Screen Violence.

  • I would love to see Old Blood add a dedicated on/off switch for the delay side of the Beam Splitter so you can get the cool deviate effect on your clean tone. Maybe add a Lasso-style effects loop to it so I can put a reverb after the gain but before the trereo split? Regardless, OBNE totally rule and they're making some of the most interesting stuff out there.
