  • Cool to see I'm not the only one who plays in E double harmonic major upon picking up a classical guitar. One of my favorite sounds!

  • Be the good player on cheap(er) gear. I rescued a classical from trash pick up on day. Thing is abused. But, new strings put her in form. My daily driver now. Yamaha
    Is a good brand.

  • I recall coming to the same conclusion about the inexpensive Yamaha classical guitars 30+ years ago at Thoroughbred music in Tampa FL.

  • Out here on the Left Coast, we're finally getting some rain, and I'm in semi-hibernation mode. And, since ye olde YT algorithm popped your video up on my feed, couple of congrats – first, on your friend's wedding (hope everything went well) and second, on discovering the mighty C40(probably)II. One of the hidden secrets of the ages – Yamaha doesn't make bad instruments. Or jet skis. Just sayin'. Yeah, the low end stuff is built, um, rugged…but they still sound a whole bunch better than they have any right to. C40's 100% laminate construction…and still sounds very decent. They've got some serious brainpower backing this stuff up to make a lami-monster sound as good as it does. As for me; 3 gits; FS720S (concert acoustic), CGS103A (3/4 scale baby sib to the C40), and a CG122MCH (the cheapest solid-top classical they make), all Yammies. I still can't play worth beans, but the sneers invariably disappear after the first strum.
Oh, and BTW – subscribed. ????
