donnyragsdale the difference between the relative major and minor a minor third (3 notes) interval. For example, I was in the key of F or F major (same thing). The relative minor would be 3 notes down or the 6 note in the F major scale which is D. So D minor and F major are essentially the same notes. So in vice versa D minor relative major is F because F is 3 notes or a minor third from D. does this help?
