It would be interesting to see a comparison with a Harley Benton kit. They are very affordable and the one I have built was of surprisingly high quality. Harley Benton’s Tele kit might have won the competition.
Most of the stuff this Chelmen can fix we can’t. The only thing that would have a problem with the last guitar is the nut cutting it down might be pretty difficult for me but the rest of it I think I could do.

I bought a $40 tele kit off Temu. I bet it’s ass but still looking forward to it

DAN!!! The fret wire apparently went out of business a few years ago. Help help. Recommend me another primo tele kit. Your experience on the three kits makes me nervous about picking up a junk kit.

That angle, fender tele-“ish”? Check out any mod tele. John 5’s. Kinda, maybe have that angle sanded down?

Fretwire out of business
I am a HUGE fan of Fretwire and like you, I can't say enough good about them, except maybe when they're out of stock on something. When I usually build a kit I never keep to the entire kit, but Fretwire is my go-to for Fender style builds.
Bummed that the Fretwire Thinline isn’t available anymore without the tremolo

Everything being equal (and I realize it isn’t) the extra $$ is worth it for the nice fretwork on the FretWire kit. I have some nice crowning files but that doesn’t mean I enjoy using them. ????
