I have an evertune on my 7 string. It works great. But. It’s not for blues based guitar. It will impact your vibrato. It also adds good deal of weight to your guitar.
Been a Floyd rose fan forever, picked up an evertune equipped guitar few years back. Thoughts, evertune system makes the guitar heavy, when you bend a note it’s not as natural as a Floyd or hardtail (slower to react?), sustain is definitely not as pronounced, tone robbing? No idea I am on the red channel of an EVH stealth with that much distortion it’s not noticeable ???? You nailed all the positives of this bridge.

I have an evertune on one of my guitars and love it. I have the bridge tuned to Drop D but then tune it up to standard. It allows you to swap between tunings without using the key.
i should really commit and try out an evertune bridge, they sound almost too good to be true in the context of recording. it seems like it would be a dream for recording consistency on heavy rhythm sections. I have a friend who can't stand them, something about how they feel on his hand but I've never tried one myself. have you noticed any sort of 'feel' that's markedly different than a floyd/edge system?

Hey man great video. I'm currently looking into an evertune model that comes in d standard from the factory. It has a 26.5 scale length so if I put it in e standard and tune it up to edge of zone 3, I believe the tension will be even more than what you've described, right?
Also, if the guitar is in bend mode does that mean you essentially lose the evertune functionality? It will probably hold the tuning through small handling disturbances etc. but being close to zone 3, there is a chance that it gets bent out of zone 2 and you'll have to retune and at that point it's not much different than a fixed bridge.

It was great to learn about another bridge system, and a great choice of a guitar– it's beautiful!
Based on your cons, I'm pretty relieved I didn't impulse buy a Solar with an Evertune. It doesn't seem ideal for what I'm playing, and I'd definitely want to try one out in-store before committing.
By the way, are you still loving the Ibanez RG5320? I'm vacillating between that and the RG5440C. I know you had some issues with the latter, but an HSS Prestige is really tempting. Or maybe even a Prestige S series, though it doesn't have stainless steel frets. Which of those three would you recommend for someone who plays more lead than rhythm? They're all about the same price here.
