Tips and Tricks for Dialing In Electric Violin Tone on Tube Amps
Electric Violinists commonly use tube amps for tone and amplification. But many players struggle to get a sound they really like.
In this demo, we’ll use two Zeta violins (a Jazz Fusion and a Strados Modern) and three different amp models in a Line6 Helix: Fender Twin Reverb, Vox AC-15, and Mesa Boogie Mark IV.
We’ll talk about how to audition an amp and then give some ideas about how to dial in an amp once you pick your favorite.

I was never a Vox guy until recently. A bit less high gain than other amps (but who needs that with a bow anyways?), but sweeter than other amps. I keep coming back to it.

3:10 Cool demo. On the Fender Twin, why is treble turned way down and presence turned up, instead of just turning down presence? (Turning down presence is my default on most amps.)
