  • I needed a new travel guitar for my truck(I hate taking my good stuff out with me, people drink, and get clumsy). I tried these and a few others like the Baby Taylor. I ended up with the Yamaha, it had the crispness of the Taylor at 1/3 of the price, and a very nice, clear "bassy" feel when playing it, along with a beautiful fretboard. I really don't know h ow they can sell that guitar so cheap, it's crazy. I liked the Fender as well, but I already have a couple Fender's, and they don't make great travel acoustics, imo. Something always breaks, and I don't feel like going thru the heartache of breaking another one. The Yamaha was by a lot, the winner for what I needed, I'm not saying it's perfect for all, it just fit exactly what I personally needed, and still no regrets at all! I actually end up playing the cheap Yamaha more than the others, it's weird how that works, I have guitars worth 10x more, but my go to for messing around, is the cheap one, lol.

  • The Yamaha has a more balanced sound. I love it. The fender is too intrusive and violent. Too much low-end, not enough mids. It sounds like it's coming from a cave.

  • Hello, I'm Shiyan from Sri Lanka. I love the way you play both acoustic guitars. The Yamaha F310 is one of my favourites. I play the guitar too, but honestly, I'm not a complete guitarist because I only play rhythm. ???? I only know to play C major scale (between 1st and 3rd fret and 5th and 7th fret), G major scale, and F major scale when it comes to playing lead. There are no opportunities for guitar enthusiasts like me to learn to play the guitar with proper guidance in my town. So I have decided to watch some videos on fingerstyle. But I'm looking for easy-to-watch fingerstyle guitar videos from beginner to advanced with clear explanation. I really want to learn to play fingerstyle. Could you please upload step-by-step fingerstyle guitar tutorials for me and all those who wan to learn to play fingerstyle? Or at least, please recommend me someone who teaches to play fingerstyle from the basics very nicely on YouTube. ☺????

  • To my opinion… YAMAHA sounds more Acoustic than FENDER but FENDER is more electric than YAMAHA…
If for studio I guess FENDER will be better and for audition or stage performance YAMAHA will perform better.

  • Не честное видео при игре аккордами на ямахе играл по всем струнам а на фендере только по соловым

  • The sound of the Yamaha F310 is brighter and sharper. The sound of the Fender CD-60V3 is more rounded and bassy, both have great sound, it is a matter of the guitarist's preference and style of music.

  • fender is tighter more solid more direct in the sound more compact – communicates better – but i've just seen an fx 310 ( hope it's the same one ) for 50 bucks – guess which one i'm gonna pick the 310 sounds more erratic. But tthe comparrison in sound is not that mental i'm guesing the fender is gonna be around 700. . For 50 bucks that's an absolute f'n steal ( hope i'm right )

  • Yamaha sounds like a quality modern instrument. Fender sounds like a vintage acoustic. From what I heard here, I like the Fender better.

  • I like the f310 more.
It sounds a lot more spacious.
The accentuated mids and non existent lows of the Fender ????

Pretty sure the f310 would play a lot better down further the neck with barre/power chords too.
Edit: 1 month with the f310.
I think the fender sounds better but always the grass is greener on the otherside.

My maib complaint about the f310 is the abysmal action height.
How the fuck this design got off the shelf? Its higher than any cheaper gutar ive ever held.
Playing it is damn near impossible without herculean effort.

If i wasnt handy with DIYing, id throw this shit to the wall.
Even so, it is still very rough.
I already shaved a massive amount of saddle and nut and it still is high. I had to go through like sanding it down 3x just ti make it a bit playable

EDIT 2: After a year. I finally decided to get it a full setup treatment.
The bridge/wooded got routed down, nut and saddle acton replaced with bone nut.
Lots of fret wire work done.
It now plays like a dream.
    Amazing guitar.
I did not touched it for a very long time because of how bad it feels to use

Both My friends got the fender CD60 and i think mine sounds a bit better.
Just the form factor can get uncomfortable.
Im a really small manlet at 5;2 and 52 kg

Im used to it now though. Very nice guitar
