  • I bought one, I like the idea of a wide neck about it, everything else is the cheapest you can ever get, the setup was terrible, I mean there was no setup at all, the neck was dry and the nut was slotted too deep, yeah it buzz , very cheap tuners won’t stay in tune, cheap unbranded electronics ,, cavities routings really bad, unplayable the way it is, working on getting it little better, I mean at least cut a new nut and set it up, if you wanna upgrade it you’ll need everything but the neck… I mean body, all electronics and hardware, nut and tuners… a guitar you’d expect to get for 70 bucks from china.

  • The problem with this your stuck with smaller frets because a fret job is worth more than the guitar do it yourself have to have the right tools . That's the problem with these cheap necks .Frets are really important to your style.Believe me I've gone through this. The best neck and body I bought was a warmoth built to Exactley what I wanted

  • Hi I am looking for a guitar with the same string spacing as a classical guitar as I have been playing that for like 40 yrs and am just used to that string spacing. When I play an electric guitar I gave to really concentrate and can't relax and just let muscle memory do it's thing. Once I stop focusing my fingers go back to where they think the nylon classical string is. I figured if I got an electric guitar with the same string spacing not just at the nut but at the bridge too. I believe the string spacing at the bridge if a classical is

  • Hi. The string spacing mentioned in the video is not correct. It should be around 8.4mm (nut) and 10.8mm (pick-up)

  • How did you get your guitar? On Dec. 2nd 2017, I emailed to ask if one of their guitar necks is in stock.

"Nick" replied and said if it shows in stock on the orders page of the website, then they have it. I checked and it was in stock

Dec 9th, I ordered the neck and payed $90 through paypal.

Dec 13th, I hadn't heard from them so I emailed and requested a response as to when the neck would ship.

Dec 14th, "Nick" replied and said that they had been out of stock for two weeks. He also said he couldn't find the order or paypal.

Dec 14th , attempted to call business, left voicemail requesting refund

Dec 15th emailed "Nick" with screenshots of his previous email, screenshots of the orders in stock page [still show in stock today, 12/19] called again, left voicemail. request refund via email. Provided transaction number of paypal order.

Dec15th checked bank account, Louis Carroll withdrew money from paypal. Apparently the order was found.

Dec 16th, opened claim against Carroll on paypal, wanting a refund. December 19th, still no contact from company.

Dispute will be upgraded on 1/4/18 if no reply.

  • I'm not sure if 42.9, or the super wide neck would be best for me. I remember playing an Epiphone Les Paul that seemed to wide, but I think the main problem was the frets were too flat to feel them, so if I had jumbo frets and a super wide 47mm neck it might work. I think the classical neck would be to wide for my barre chords. I just hate 42mm necks and that seems to be the norm.

  • The only Big Lou guitar with a floyd rose style bridge on their website was the Magnum, which is discontinued. We have tested two Big Lou models they currently sell and have found no problems with frets needing filed or bridge string problems.

  • i read this guitar needs work when u get it. here is a review i found from guitar site
guitar arrived – original cardboard box with no padded protection either outside or within. all the frets had sharp ends making it unplayable (had to file). it had a dummy floyd rose that required the ball end to string through what were supposed to be micro adjusters had to ream out 3 as too small.

  • Changing strings to 10's mostly fixed the issue. I'm not a setup guy, but have been learning how. Its not too hard to diagnose whether you need truss rod adjustment. I checked my neck and it is actually pretty good, doesn't need adjustment. Yours might. If your frets all look like they are seated the same, I would learn a bit about the neck and go from there.

I don't know how to pm or email with YT or I would help more.

This has been a GREAT guitar thus far.
