Barry Galbraith – Daily Exercise #1: E Harmonic Minor (with TAB)

From the book:
Barry Galbraith’s Jazz Guitar Study Series: Daily Exercises in the Melodic Minor and Harmonic Minor Modes

NOTES:
-Fingerings are how I play them, but not always how they are written in the book. Alternate fingerings are encouraged if they make sense to you. The book has lots of notes on the harmonic content that is worth checking out.
-I’m using alternate picking throughout.
-The 6/4 measures are written as 6/8 in the book.
-The G natural note in the 4th to last measure is written as a G# in the book. The same figure in the preceding measure is written an octave higher with G natural note and G# would not be consistent with the other approach tones to the A-7 notes.

  • Very nicely done! May I ask what application you used to tab these out? And have you tabbed the whole series? Would love to get a copy of all the pdfs . I’ve been meticulously attempting to write them out by hand. But figured there must be an easier way to do this lol
