i bought a boss gt-8 that was used as a shop floor unit to sound like david gilmore on an ibanez 120-art with active pickups. betcha a gibson ES-335 i got the tone for less money than you guys did.
Really wish you would reboot all these great old episodes. So much new gear and options out there and I really think a lot of everyday people appreciate learning about gear that sounds like their favorite players.
Great video I enjoyed watching this. Gilmour is so unique there isn’t a guitarist in the world that sound exactly like gilmour. I’ve seen so many tribute bands which sound very close but when you see the man live there is just something different there. When he played sorrow live the hairs just stood up on the back of my neck what a legend he is
Were all of the effects run into the front of the amp? I don't believe the RCA35 has an effects loop. Amazing tone and playing.
You know, I knew a guy, and I'm talking about one with gold records on his wall, who would say that the Phase 90 you used was crap because it wasn't the original and don't sound the same. I remember him being very upset when talking about having to replace his.

It’s so interesting that everyone is always trying to get the Dark Side sound when they think Gilmour. When I was a kid my dad gave me a bunch of PF vinyls and the one that always stuck with me was actually Animals.
After the outtake at the end, I went back and watched the original Shine On demo and laughed out loud when Rabea did the huge, exaggerated nod for the chord change. ????
OMG!! The first four notes just carried me back!???? That is sooo good. The tone is perfect, and Rabea's licks are impeccable. Sounds like it's direct from the album. Well done you guys… thoroughly enjoyed this!! ????????????
