I trust the Aguilar brand. The sound is still beautiful, but I like the design of the old version more than the new one I saw in this clip.
The low saturation sounds a bit better than tube in my opinion. It’s warm, but very intelligible and doesn’t soften the attack as much as a tube preamp. It almost sounds like a solid state preamp feeding a tube power amp. Brilliant box.
I’d like to add overdrive to my Aguilar db751 and I was thinking in this pedal. Does it reduce the deep, fat sound of my amp? I wouldn’t like to loss any. Thanks

I like MINIMAL distortion. Heavy grit upsets my nervous system. Just HORRIBLE.
This is far and away my favorite bass drive pedal. I use an AG700 since I am hired for a wide variety of genres. I use the Agro for light color in some groups and heavy grit in others. Great pair with the db925 ahead of it!
