That was a dobro solo in the middle. Lovely. Also, country came from a lot of different things and blues comprised a lot of different things both of them early on, and then in a lot of ways of thinking, rock and roll was birthed out of a combination of the two. And then of course all three of them continued to expand in their individual directions to with frequent crossing over.
How fun! I like all kinds of music from all parts of the world and all different times, but this is my favorite Charlie Daniels Band song. In fact we used to cover it in a band I was in, but mostly, it's just so relaxing to listen to, and it always brings a smile to my face. It's easy for me to imagine sitting by the edge of a river or a pond or some woods with your dog and there's a gentle breeze and dappled sunlight and it's not too hot and it's not too cold, and you're just totally relaxing.
