Enjoy this product deep dive with founder Bryce Young that covers the history & inspiration from the original 76-style compressor, how building our WA76 outboard gear inspired this pedalboard creation, sound profile & best applications, and full component overview!
Classic Studio Compression Recreated For Your Pedalboard:
Pedal76 accurately reproduces one of the fastest and most powerful studio compressors of all time, known for having ultra-fast attack and release and adding sweet analog tone to any source. Just like in the studio, Pedal76 has Attack & Release, Ratio, and Input controls, critical for taming unwanted changes in volume on stage. Backed by over 10 years of expertise delivering premium, award-winning studio compression with the Warm Audio WA76, the Pedal76 is capable of bringing out the wide range of legendary compression tones from subtle to hard-limiting as favored by celebrated artists such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Periphery, Jack White and many more.
Studio-Quality Sound, Stage-Ready Control:
To achieve authentic 76-style FET compression, Pedal76 is built with an all-analog circuit and premium components, including a custom CineMag USA transformer. Spec’d to duplicate the professional performance of the studio units, this transformer adds rich harmonic content, and, in high gain mode, a bit of audible overdrive reminiscent of the most prized studio originals. Pedal76 features gig-ready controls like an external switch for true/buffered bypass, ensuring the compressor plays nice in your rig. Switches for input sensitivity, ground/lift, pad, and high/low gain modes (both for DI operation) provide added utility at gigs or in the studio. The separate (DI) out also sends a balanced signal to any mixer or live recording rig.

I love that he made sure to mention Mastodon. Love Warm Audio! ❤
Warm audio is my favorite pedal company.. everything is just spot on fantastic and finest quality available in my opinion. And to have these unavailable unicorns in full glory and detail is just amazing.. dropping my order asap..I have the bender the centavo and all my patch cables are warm quality..thanks for what you do. It takes everything to the next level ????????????
A blend control would make this compressor perfect.
Heavy compression and then blending in the dry signal is a really important feature nowadays.
Is the output transformer only heard through the balanced out or the amplifier out as well?
Can this be used in the FX Loop of my WA73-EQ?
No blend ,you suck…..????
I'd love to know what's the difference between this and the non-pedal version (obviously because I'm curious how they sound on drums.. and other stuff)
Thank you, Mr. Young for not only explaining in useful detail the workings of this new unit, but also for making it. I know I'm going to be picking one up very soon, and this video has a lot to do with that decision.
I bet this would sound so dope with a sampler, like the SP-404, running through it and putting max compression on the signal. Instant lo-fi vibes!
Sounds promising!! ????????????????
Now do Pedal3A.
Ordered one this morning, first thing after I got the email. Hadn't seen the video yet. Looking forward to putting it through it's paces. both live and in the studio.
amazing product
Awesome! Please make a bass version with high pass for the side chain 🙂
Now that's how it's 'DONE'!
Awesome Presentation Mr. Young.
Very nice!
First!
