Hi I'm considering whether to buy Katana mk2 50 or 100. I want to know, how will I hear the backing track that I load in reaper daw along with guitar part I'll be recording.
Will i need to buy studio monitors for 50, but can skip studio monitors if I go for 100?
I really want to get this amp. Can you just load a preset or two on to it and then not have it plugged into a computer at all to play? I appreciate any feedback.

im a beginner and ive just ordered one of these for next day..i tried a valve amp in a shop today and on low volume they are a pile of shit..i tried the katana 50 on low volume and it kept all its tones and was great..but they didnt have the box.the instructions or the usb lead and it was a display model .but he still wanted full price..i told him what time it was and left

One question.. i have a Boss ME80 which has a Tone central also, now my question is do i need a separate Tone central for a Katana or not? Because i might get confused if iam recording.
