I recently bought an inspired by Gibson Epiphone es335. I have to say it surprised me on the quality, the price and of course the sound. In pelthem blue. I do my own setups. The action is unbelievably low with no fret buzz. I'll keep it forever.
What would you rather have? A made in the U.S. Gibson Tribute. Currently, the least expensive L.P., but it's the real deal or the Epiphone 60s re-issue?
STUPID ! STUPID ! STUPID !! In 1981 I had a chance to get a Gibson Flying V, red in color for $150.oo from a friend. Again I say "STUPID" ! Didn't get it because I didn't find it "FUN" to play. I really missed the boat. Live and learn, hopefully.

Ive got 2 ive a les Paul custom and a cherry 335. Love them both i must say the les Paul is slightly better quality. Saying that it was things like the plastic volume and tone nobs that caught my attention but when i looked at the Gibson counterpart the knobs were exactly the same haha. The pickups on my 335 dont seem as good quality (they sound fine) than my les Paul custom.
Luck has it, I found an 82, Epiphone Spirit 2 KZ with T.S. pups. After some repair wonderful !
They really nailed the 2020 LP 50s reissue.
Imo its better than the gibson standards of that year

Sometimes shutting the yapper and letting the instrument speak is better.
I own a P90 Epiphone 'Inspired By Gibson' SG, cost me $749 NZD. It's incredible. Honestly, it's so incredibly close to the real thing. The frets just needed a dress and the tuning machines upgraded. I may switch the pickups out, but at the moment I'm loving the stock Epi ones !
I love my epiphones! I have a trad iv pro plus top Les Paul and a Tommy Thayer Les Paul and absolutely love them both!

A bunch of great Epis came out during this last year.
My 2020 classic is the best Epiphone I’ve owned so far. Cheaper than the standard models but it’s not a downgrade imo. The alnico classic pro pickups are great and I prefer them over the pro buckers.

I recently bought my daughter the Epiphone SG standard and after playing if for I bit I was blown away by it, I really can't say it's any worse than my Gibson SG. The inspired by Gibson line from Epiphone is fantastic.
My fav is the Casino, I know most people aren’t huge fans of the P-90s over humbuckers, but I’m just such a Beatles nut that I can’t get enough of it

I was kinda worried because I was under the impression you started out with the best Epiphone ( LP 60's Model).
I was happily relieved when you ended with the 50's LP Model when you announced it as your favorite, then I had realized it was 5,4,3,2, and 1 lol..!
I happen to have this Epiphone 50's model Lp and I love it because the Neck is a bit chunky, but feels great. This one sounds better than my Cherry stain LPJ by Gibson which is a full body LP without the Pickguard, and small cosmetic features of the standard LP's by gibson. I love that they went back to the more traditional headstock which resembles Gibson's own tather than the older uglier ones they had.
I am in the market for a new Epiphone, and while I was kinda looking into the 60's LP because I heard it has hotter pickups, I didn't know until this video that it features a thinner neck which my smaller hands might like (I'm more a Stratocaster player myself) but also am really interested in the new SG as I've never owned or played one.
I might go with the SG, maybe in the Cherry, but the white ones looks really good too.

Cherry is the proper colour for an SG. I had an Epiphone SG 400, and it was a great guitar, just not really my style, so I traded it for something else. But it looked great in cherry.
I don't know if it's just me but I love my Epi Modern!
I love my Alpine white SG standard. Beautuliful guitar that plays and sounds fantastic ????

You completely missed the best epiphone, the Sheraton is unarguably the best looking, sounding and built model they have ever produced.
The best Epiphone guitars were made in Japan. Orville by Gibson were no longer made, but there were plenty of parts still unmade. They branded these guitars with the Epiphone name. These guitars have a long neck tenon joint & Gibson headstocks. They are equivalent to the Gibson custom shop guitars, at a fraction of the price. They are collectable, but going up in price & harder to find. I love my Japanese Epiphone Goldtop & Sunburst Les Paul's.

Ever heard or played a Wilshire? That's hands down the best Epi (electric solidbody) ever, IMHO.
And I'm talking about the Indonesia made reissues!
Had mine for some 10 years, now. One of the best electrics I've ever played.
My beat up vintage Gibson Black Beauty can have some well deserved rest.
I have a epiphone Les Paul standard,made in Indonesia 97, beautiful guitar, with a great sound
God that LP 50's is really awesome….
I owned 335 by Epiphone in the year of 2013 with PAF's and that instrument never lied at rehearsal or even the gigs. Had to sale due to financial but it was worth the money I invested. Only thing I ever did was tighten the input back and readjust strings for my playing. For quality, just worth ever cent I spent on that Red Epiphone bought at Tarpley's in Amarillio, Texas. Sorry those pickups were P90's. Not putting down Gibspn, which now own 1991 Led Paul model by Gibson.
Epiphone and Gibson are both totally awesome instruments.
