  • I have seen a decrease in my volumn of my guitar, mostly on the treble strings and using finger style picking. I do have an amp that I use that helps. Wondering what I could do to get better volumn? I use light stings at this time, and its a Martin guitar. Notice about a year ago. Thanks for any help.

  • Elixr strings??? These have only ever been OK on guitars that I don't have to play. I wouldn't even give them to my students (strings with plastic coatings don't last long and have the unfortunate side effect of being a prophylactic for your guitars tone). There is a world of strings out there with plenty of character or longevity. I guess Elixr goes longer but they sound so… bland. It's like people who like Taylor guitars like bland Elixr strings to suit their bland PC personalities or something. Oh, your playing a Taylor… coincidence, but see what I mean. You belong in a coffee shop that has books and posters of people in designer clothing pretending to do it tough in the Ukon.
And switching picks out from one grade of sponsored plastic to another… so pathetic, why can't you just be honest and tell us they paid you to do this 'handy demonstration'…
Can we get a real man with a liking for serenading wild bears in the forest please?
