What did you think about Corey Congilio’s aha moment? Is this something you’ll add to your playing style? Let us know in the comments, and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more.
I think the tone is individual and emerges from the hands of the guitar player.
Pick ups and the pre-amp section of the amplifier colour to tone but ultimately it's in the hands.
This is why a guitarist can produce that unique tone using a different guitar and gear if you listen carefully at the essence of the tone rather than a technical spectrum analysis curve
Corey was my guitar teacher about 20 years ago (sorry to give away your age Corey) and I still have his handwritten lesson on dominant seven arpeggios. It was a big “aha” moment for me too. That said, the biggest leap I ever had came from him absolutely drilling me on funk rhythm guitar. He was just relentless in his perfection of the pocket, and it made me a much better player, and maybe even a better person, for it.
Did the Giveaway ???????? ????
I want a 335 with a 60’s les paul thin neck. Do they make them ?
I've completed a couple of his courses on TrueFire – he's an excellent teacher.
Never heard of him or do I care to..
