So, do you play bass?
(Because you're always talking ????)
Just kidding ????????????
My dipstick fired a stream when I heard forty six and 2
How is "My Generation" not in this list?
most other youtubers give you ten bass lines in 20 minutes plus lots of idle chat , danny gives you 20 in 3.5 minutes -bravo !
Muse – Hysteria
Bauhaus – Bela Lugosi's Dead
Concrete Blonde – Bloodletting
Sisters of Mercy – Lucretia, My Reflection (though some sources claim this was played on a synth)
hi danny , whats the second bass (behs ):) in your playing black sabbath on it ? cheers mate jamie from nottingham
Acid Bath- Finger Paintings of the Insane.
NOFX Idiots are taking over, excellent base line and intro
Okay dude. I'm on the other side of the pond, grew up in Virginia, and I call my instrument the "GeeTar". I keep showing your videos to my wife because in my retirement I'm returning to the music that my parents pushed me away from. I watch your videos because I'm entertained. I know you can play and I want to get to know you because I'm trying to figure out the YouTube thing. I want to teach and do session work for my retirement plan. Do you have any advice for finding session work? I do my own stuff at home now using Logic Pro X. I could go into studios in Raleigh NC (my home now) but I don't know how to begin. Kudos on what you have done here so far.
Brilliant as always. But where's Lust For Life? My favourite intro ever!
Why are you staring at your left hand?
How about No More Years, good ol' Ozzy?
What make was that bass you used for the first intro? The MM style one with 2 a side tuners?
No Longview?
Peace sells
Diggin the vibe and shirt
Thank you
No brrr brrr deng?
Come on!! Princess of the Streets or Peaches would be better Stranglers ones.
But hey, they are all good! ????
Keep up the the gospel of the BEHS!! ????
You have Stranglers in there, the Clash in there, JJ Burnel is one of your fav behs players of all time. You wear your Thin Lizzy, Clash tees perfectly. Always entertaining. For me best YouTube channel.
Let's give Stevie Wonder the songwriting credit for Higher Ground, though Flea definitely took the bass line to the next level with the RHCP cover.
…….bass intros…….so I thought of "The New" by Interpol…….you could have mentioned Carlos Dengler at some point……I also like Unwound's bass sound…..with Corpse Pose, the guitarist could leave that stage while he plays it…..
What about Red hot chilli peppers by the way ????
Either love song or I just can't be happy today by The Damned would have sat in there very nicely, I feel. If you haven't heard them give them a listen if you find the time. Perhaps when you are knocking back a pint of John Smiths with a raw egg. ?????????
Like deployed ????
Awesomeness ????????
"Roundabout"?..
Man that Squire P sounds good!
The O’Jays: For the Love of Money.
What? What about PEACE SELLS?
I was hoping to hear something from the Minutemen – either "Joe McCarthy's Ghost" or "Straight Jacket." Probably 2 of Mike Watt's best bass lines.
Longview-Green Day
New rose by the Damned
Might be that "Got the Time" is a Joe Jackson song covered by Anthrax.
Love the dead kennedys shirt, it looks nice. That’s all I had to say.
Does anyone know what brand of bass that is at 1:08 during Another One Bites The Dust?
Can You See The Real Me…
Props for that Narada Michael Walden. You nailed that tone too.
peace sells!?!?!?!?!
Q
Got the time – Jo Jackson
I was hoping he would play Wrathchild from Maiden.
The Seinfield song is actually played on a synth. Nitpicking, I know.
Great choices. Of course everyone's going to tell you "you shoulda also had…" but not me it's fine just the way you made it. Well maybe except for Carol Kaye's intro to Good Vibrations and uh…..damn it still did it.
