Vintage basses vs Modern basses – looking for the perfect bass sound
I own many basses, and i love them all. The old ones, as well as the new with modern sound. I cannot tell which sounds best for me, they all have their own spirit.

Pbass 4ever!!!!!!!!!!????
Vintage wins!! The low end is there. The aria and spector sounded very thin, with no body to the notes
Yeah. Stingray would kill em all I'm afraid
Great selection man – I'm a Spector player , something about the growly tone wokrs so well for me, I love moderns and vintages are wicked, I did order Standard 21 fret Custom Sadowsky
The Spector and Mayones seemed to have the best balance for what you were playing. Nice collection!
Spector for the win!
The spector is my favourite. Super small body….❤
Very good shootout. I have a Spector, but after seeing this video I started to wonder if I'm actually are looking for a different sound. Maybe like the Mayonnaise sound. Thank you very much!
On the AIC, just by memory, the Mayones sounded more like the track than the Spector did. I'm probably wrong, but it was funny. You get a great tone out of all of 'em.
Spector for rock and Heavy tunes, modern funk…Jazz and Precision for old school, motown, one drop reggae, soul
I like the jazz bass for the first song, the Spector for the second one. Nice video!
Modern all the way. It’s personal prefernce but the Spector humilated all the others.
that jazz bass tone is just so well known to my ears ???????? nice vid
really cool, but try to change the strings
Buzz Hornet zdecydowanie number 1
The Aria Pro II SB is the one I like best even though I too own a Jazz Bass and a Precision bass
Interesting how the Spector and the mayonnaise thing sound so similar. Nice work!
Thank you for a very well performed comparison. The Aria Pro II SB is definitely my favourite, followed by the EMG-bass. Clarity and punch. My own experience is that it is the pickups rather than the basses that defines the most of the sound. The pickups and the string types, so it would be interesting to know what strings the different basses had.
Very cool, as always.
