Play Electric – Killer Vocals, Savage Guitar Tone

http://www.tc-helicon.com/play-electric/
Hewn from raw Tone and forged deep in the mountains of Rock, chilled in the river of Blues and polished by the mothers of Soul, we’re stoked to bring you Play Electric – a vocal & electric guitar multi-FX unit so compact, yet so full of awesome features and sounds, that we’ve unofficially dubbed it “son of VoiceLive 3”.

Like it’s “father”, Play Electric combines complete vocal and electric guitar processing, but skimps on the complexity so you can rock out with confidence. You get easy access the hottest vocal sounds, perfect backing harmonies, best-selling TC Electronic guitar FX, and enough amp emulations to quench anyone’s thirst for tone, making Play Electric the new hard-hitter for performing singer-guitarists everywhere.

Play Electric features:
– Professional Vocal Effects and Tone with natural sounding Vocal Harmonies guided by your guitar
– Guitar FX styles from TC Electronic’s Hall of Fame Reverb, Flashback Delay and Corona Chorus pedals
– Guitar effects for each preset
– Stereo PA and direct Guitar Out for flexible connections on any stage

  • hello guys, great product! but i just want to confirm something. i have fender champion20 amp which only has one 1/4" port as input. i want to use that amp as both output for my guitar and mic. is it possible if i connect the playElectric XLR output with <XLR to 1/4"> cable to my champ20 amp?
(the guitar "thru" and "out" will be unplugged).
i have no issue with having mono output btw. just want to make sure that my amp will work fine the playElectric.

thank you and your response will be greatly appreciated 🙂

  • Hi TC! I am a proud owner of a TC VoiceLive Play GTX (which I love) that I use with acoustic and electric guitars. I am comparing it with the new VoiceLive Play Electric and the only differences that I can find is no midi function on the VLP Electric and it uses effects from the flashback, corona, and hall of fame pedals (which sound-wise the GTX seems to nail anyway; just without the labeling). Can you explain the differences? Also I have not seen any song preset updates for the GTX in a long time. Is TC dropping its support for the GTX? Doesnt seem right for a product touted as being updateable is all-of-a-sudden obsolete because of the launch of a product two years later. I think if you have updated presets for the new VLP Acoustic and Electric you should update the presets for the VLP and VLP GTX too. Thanks for your help
