  • It is like looking underwater at the frets. Scary for finger alignment, if imaginary still psychological.
The multiscale is still weird enough to absorb. Now this. Frets were straight across for how many centuries? Isn't this advent a product of modern competition? Ancient alien theorists say… sorry wrong channel!????

  • Fantastic review as always Andre! Can you tell me what type of cushin support you have used under the guitar in this video?

  • Cualquiera que sepa un poco se da cuenta de este timo.
El que compre esta guitarra deberia obtener ademas por el mismo precio un certificado de hipoacúsico, y otro certificado de comprador compulsivo de basura.

  • On the topic of new guitars, could you maybe check out the new HILS Next headless models? In terms of features they're very close to the Strandberg Boden Essentials, but I'd be really interested in the ergonomics of them, and despite some enthusiastic reviews no one's really evaluated them from the ergonomic angle. Would love to hear your thoughts on them.

  • Beautiful playing as usual! Haven't come across Cort as a stand alone brand very often. On the few times I have seen them at used stores, they have been really well built.

  • I just bought a Cort. The FatII! It is phenomenal! I've got a PRS SE, and you can tell it was made at the Cort factory. I realize that it says that on the headstock.

Edit: Could you imagine how much it would cost to refret that thing lol?

  • This is just a broad guess from someone who studied acoustics and DSP. I believe that, with true temperament, sustain tends to increase due to a phenomenon called sympathetic resonance.

  • Review the Rob O’Reilly Midi Pro 2 guitar!! Steve Vai is in the process of getting one custom made

  • Cort builds good stuff. That's why PRS chose them to build his SE line. Buy a Cort and it's like getting a PRS SE without the markup. The contrarian in me likes that.

  • I have the cort kx508ms II. It’s killer multiscale 8 string, with a lot of high end features for a mid priced guitar. Cort is absolutely killing it, imo.

  • The major problem I see with this is that the moment you change tunings everything goes out. This guitar has to be set up with string tension and gauge in mind.

  • I can’t find this guitar for sale. I see it on the cort site but what is the price? Where can I find it?

  • That A/B test was shocking, BUT I really don't like the open G on the Cort, there's a small amount of dissonance there and I don't really understand why. Maybe fingering pressure?

  • Definitely not the Cort of the 80’s. I’m a Gibson guy, but in the past 2 years, I’ve bought two Cort (higher end) acoustics. Awesome quality and tone. Very high quality instruments

  • Basically the same thing as my early 90's Cort Effector I got for christmas from the Sears Catalog ???? j/k Cort has been slowly stepping up their quality over the years. Might be time to get my Effector a brother.

  • Wow. The B guitar sounds so much more in tune. The 5ths don't shimmer, and the thirds sound like they are tuned. However, what about bends, vibrato, slides, hammers, and pulls; all those techniques that guitar players use. I am a jazz, fusion and 20th century blues rock player, not metal. Anyway, back to the video.

  • The problem with a guitar like this is playing with other guitarists, we have learned to subconsciously accept the “Chorus” effect of two guitars but with AB testing and both at the same time the difference is Night and Day. Would love to know how double tracking riffs on True Temperament would sound like.

  • I bought a used $100 Cort (I forget the model) that I customized and modded during Covid as a sanity project. It’s one of my favorite guitars. I’m drooling over this one

  • When coming to the number of strings, how could you forget about Kieff´s 5String Guitar in Open-G tuning 😉

  • No word about bending and vibrato? Must be basically impossible to get right when it varies from string to string and even fret to fret.
