This tone was modeled after “Wonderful Tonight” at Madison Square Garden, New York 1999.
It sounds also like Clapton’s guitar on many tracks from “24 Nights”, for example “Cocaine” at Royal Albert Hall.

Clapton’s live tone is often quite clean, with some drive provided just by the amp. Playing riffs pushes the sound into crunch tones. The video has demos of “Wonderful Tonight” live solo, rhythm and lead and “Cocaine” riffs.
Audio is a direct recorded Strat with Fender Tex-Mex pickups: Neck pickup demo first, Neck+Middle etc. sound great too.
