My P-bass “The Orange Julius ????????
My favorite of these basses is the Nate one. Cool
CV 59 ❤
Id bring my thunderbird, also very useful as a weapon for self defense
what Island did the Olinto go ? (the fish n chips isle of ???)
Desert island bass: Warwick Alien 6 Fretless….
4 strings actually offer more freedom – you can wrap your thumb over the neck, play chords easier, or strap it up high and noodle or solo. They vibe in essentially all scenarios. Horses for courses, but 4 is where it's at.
I'd probably want my 73 cortez p bass so smooth and mellow and just all around great bass .
I want another p basss
2:57 So, who‘s here in 2024 because Scott mentioned the Nate Mendel in the „5 iconic basses of all time“ episode? ???????????? ????????♂️
Should be an accoustic bass on a desert island … :-))
Why do you stack your speakers like that surely it would be better stacked in phase (turn one over)?
I’ve spent thousands on basses but still can’t find the one! ????
That amp is beautiful
Can anyone tell me what that is ?
Desert island bass
Any 70's model Fender Jazz..
I like how you bring p bass playing into the on-the-go world
My 76 p bass is my go to
My desert island bass would be my Squier Late 50s vibe precision bass. It is the best instrument ive ever played (yes despite the fact that i own a fender, and have played several)
Is the red one the Nate Mendel model?
My Geddy Lee Jazz Bass!
That Moollon was off the hook, dam! Nice!
The Japanese mid 90s ones are nice! (This is what I realistically have my eye on) They get a lot of finish checking by now (expect cracks in the paint work) but they are the best value to quality (still expensive though but woth it) still have a phat neck mace to the highest standards and don't demand the crazy prices tye usa ones do and imho just as good in that mid 90s era – 94 to 96 is gold for the MIJ's – under $800 is am ABSOLUTE bargain and these proves can be had if you really look around (play it and check it over 1st though – dont get ripped off).
Is the last bass a Nate Mendel signature bass?
Thanks for all the advice!
Ken Smith 6 string – and a a Dingwall 6 string!
I’m assuming he uses mostly flats on all his basses besides the Mendel?
My desert island bass is my 1980 fender precision special bass. It has incredible tone!
‚Sit down whilst playing.‘ what a joker!
And then: ‚if you feel numbness in your plucking hand, it‘s from the weight of the bass.‘
Well, no! The weight of the bass is entirely on the plexus brachialis of your fretting hand.
????♂️????♂️????♂️
I’ve been playing a D Lakin Bob Glaub model P bass with flats. Sounds great!
Hi, I don't know where I have to post this question, so I do it here. I saw already so many videos but never heard you talk about 'dead spots' on the neck of the bass. Does it means that your basses don't have them? Can you give some explanation about this issue ? Thank !!
Yamaha Attitude 3 Ltd.
BC Rich Bich Bass ( American made )
Pbass and quarter pounds go together like cornbread and beans. Or fish and chips.
I want to hear the bass playing music, with an actual chord progression, not just a one chord funk jam, that so many bass players seem to gravitate to.
So many players love the sound of the tone turned all the way down ,full bass, with no treble, however it can get muddy.
My Squier P Bass is my axe. Yes, it’s cheap. But man, I love the look of it, and the classic growl. Always will be with me as long as I’m on this earth.
Island bass ? P-bass of course 🙂
luke skywalker 1:57
I can't get into heavy relics unless I had caused them myself with normal playing which would never happen. Not enough time.
Of course, this video has to be updated since I know you have new Pbasses. It should also be noted that this video is partly responsible for me now having 5 Hofner violin basses. I am a Hofner nerd and therefore figured I needed a few just like Scott!
2:50 is where it starts
My desert island/dream bass would probably be a Warwick Streamer or a Spector. I’m a fan of that tone!????????
