  • @MichaelNielsen. Michael did you ever do a video on your green/blue? Shabbat tele? I love that guitar.

  • Hey Michael, not related to the video at all, but any chance you'd be doing some distortion or OD pedal shootouts like you did in the past? Loved those. Thanks

  • No controversy at all!! Waiting for Darkness awesome call!! This is why you’re great Michael, you hear that part exactly for what it is. A keyboard part played by guitar. Similar to what the Edge would do. Only he used delay and Jake used incredible technique!!

  • Great amp sound! Have you tried comparing a real Jake E Lee amp to the IR-J pedal? I would love to hear a comparison like that somewhere so I know if I should buy a head or just an IR-J pedal abd run it through the FX Loop. I would like someone to make a video with such a comparison. Great channel and sound!

  • SITD is one of the top arena rock songs, that guitar part is UNMISTAKABLY Jake E Lee and the whole song is just massive.

  • That amp is awesome! I have the ir jel and I can't believe how good the cleans are

  • The Orange Meanie could have made an appearance here. Just sayin’. Also, go Dodgers.

  • Love this!

Do you think Dave will ever do a pedal for this amp? Just a standard BE-OD type pedal.

  • You got my instant click with that video title! ???? Diggin' that you did some Jake deep cuts. That amp is something else!????????

  • The tone for riff 5 high gain, at 6:17 is perfect. Kinda scoopy lower mid, hollow Marshally thing most modded Marshall amps seem to lose and plenty crisp and articulate without being too reedy like a stock 800 or too compressed like a boosted one. JEL20 does not do this as far as I've heard (EL34 richness) and not all Marshalls, either. Am I hearing this right? And if that Les Paul still has Lollar Imperials in it, are they low or high output versions? Thanks, still tonequesting!

  • Jake is such an underrated guitarist. Tons of blusey soul and chops and originality and songwriting. We know he didn’t get the credit he deserved for writing on the Ozzy albums. And the amp and playing in the demo sound killer as well.

  • I knew exactly why you picked “Waiting for Darkness“ before you set a thing… That staccato picking thing was always one of the coolest things that Jake did.

But I think this amp might tell on you… If you don’t have your chops together, it may not be for you. Ask me how I know…???? Thanks for another great video, Michael!

  • Coooollll! If I’m not mistaken Shot in the dark was low E and low A a half step UP, the rest a half step down! Jake is a genius!

  • Every serious rock guitar player needs to own at least 1 Friedman amp in their lifetime ????

  • Not the same circuit as the JEL100
That’s as disappointing the the SS100 not being a circuit rip of Steve’s plexi
    Friedman make some odd decisions
