I never, in a million years, would have thought the video was made to demonstrate how one guitar is supposed to sound just like the other
If you gave someone this to listen to only, and no other context, I think they would say it sounds like 2 guitarists goong back and forth, kind of like a Dueling Solos.
Maybe play the same lick for each comparison ?
Fairly low gain..
Aggressive playing…LOTS of plate reverb.????????
Guitar player sucks ass
Nile Rodgers played Letvs Dance main funky/delayed riff in studio
Bro I thought he was talking to Rogers at first
Dang left him without the reverb lol
Love the RORY GALLAGHER replica ‘61 Fender Stratocaster, except for the pick guard.
Lots of pedals get Stevie's lead tone. What about "The Chords?" What pedal do you have for the ambient delay? Sick to death of every white boy's SRV take on blues anyway!
I dont get whatvthe pedal ia doing. Reverb? Eq? Fuzz?
Why he plays neck pickup position ? ….
Sounds great bro! Great song
It’s not the pedal dude. It’s the player.
Jeff Beck played on that track didn’t he?
doesnt sound like Stevie at all.
Oooh, yes. Just yes.
It's amazing how much a good recording engineer can fatten and brighten something without changing it's tone.
Was srv using Dumboldts by this time?
It would have been great if he’d learnt the licks…
You mean SRV not David Bowie.
The problem was the man playing can't bend a string like Stevie can.
Nice strat he has there, what neck pickup does it have Mason?
never try to keep up with SRV…lol
So so
I'll get one liveliness it
Definitely not very close with the riffs and the tone…
Say SRV not Bowie.
Lots of studio compressors, and plate reverb, in the album. This is a good effort.
So it's SRV tone not "Let's Dance" tone
The tone is good….the performance is lightyears away from SRV!
Sounds amazing, but the reverb is just as important to the tone (or slapback)
That’s an undeniably good tone.
