  • I have an Eastman E3D. Seldom mentioned but I love it more than Martin’s I’ve had.

  • Question for you, if I want to play nickelback acoustic songs and Dreadnaught is too bulky for me. Should I go for a mahogany back and sides guitar:)?

  • Why in the world didn't you include each guitar in hand and play each for the viewers to discern differences in tone/sound to help viewers decide which dreadnought they might be interested in buying for playing bluegrass?

  • Haven’t played all of these, but the Yamaha FG Red Labels are stellar. I picked up a used FG5 from my local shop for around $800. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

  • I have the Alverez LD70e Daybreak guitar. It is a wonderful and bueatiful guitar. It gets played alot. I don't play much bluegrass but it works well on any kind of music. ????

  • If you show up to a bluegrass jam with an HPL or other laminate back and sides guitar you WILL be drowned out…unless of course you mic it…

  • Great video. I have an LL6M A.R.E. that plays great and sounds great.

  • Great list, I have the Yamaha LL-TA ( LL16 similar) and it's awesome, the Eastman E1D and the Recording King RD328, all awesome but to my ears my Yamaha is the winner of all these

  • Gentlemen. the LL16 has Urea (plastic) nut and saddle. The bone upgrade takes place at the LL26 (check your video graphic). Believe me….us Yamaha fans are very attuned to this pet peeve of plastic pins and saddles. 😉 Looking forward to Fretboard Summit takeaways!

  • love the high end Alvarez guitars, i use the BG70e, the one that looks like alot like the tony rice model and everyone is always surpised how loud it is at jams, but i do pick very hard as well LOL
