Very good list. However:
– Dire Straits is not progressive
– Wish you were here is better than “Animals”
– Kansas and Marillion should be on that list
– Wishbone Ash’s “Argus” should be there as well
– Rick Wakeman’ solo work should be at least mentioned
– There are wonderful progressive groups outside the Anglosphere, as Ange (France), PFM (Italy) and Mutantes (Brazil). Check Mutantes’ “Tudo foi feito pelo sol” (or “Everything was made by the sun”). It is a great progressive album.

Starless takes the first prize for me. I don't listen to much prog, but in my opinion Heart of the Sunrise is a very, very close second. I have forever adored the entirety of Fragile, but that's the track which has a special place in my heart.

It's hard to please everyone. I don't mean any particular Song either. But the fact that groups like Gentle Giant, Van Der Graaf Generator or Eloy aren't mentioned is weak. And putting Rush at nummer 1 is ridiculous. I'm sorry

Unfortunate that the earlier live versions of Pink Floyd's songs aren't usually recognized as thier own songs. For me, the entirety of Live at Pompeii is the peak of progressive rock.

Starless is probably the most terrifying song I've ever heard. Even just thinking of the repeated crashes to its final finale just sends chills on my spine, listening to it makes me shit myself every time.
