That may be a '66 Jazz Bass body but that neck I'm pretty sure is an early 70's neck..Black block inlays, size/font of the logo and maple finger board don't line up with '66..just sayin'..also, why didn't Rebecca ask about the pickups..! ? Not sure they are original (black poles).. and what's the deal with the Pre set up btwn the J's..guess Jimmy also spaced out on talking about it..
This man actually has an Angus SG great job I wish I had one.
shes creepily close to jimmy
, awkard lol
He like his Gibson's!
Interviewer was boring but the over all interview wasnt bad .
Lamest intro EVER !
800rb is the best you can play without going tube amp.. Love mine!
Can I take that piece of Lint off of Rebecca’s right shoulder?
This video was edited better than others. Quick and efficient without unnecessary dead space
Toshi is an incredible player
That firebird looks gorgeous!
Wow, the setting on Jimmy's amp is pretty radical. He seems to have the mid scoop switch engaged and he also has the Hi Mids and the low mids dialed way back. How does he get any kind of punch and definition with that setting?
on the warwick when he says tapercore strings is basically the same as taperwound? or am i just an idiot xD
And what's up with the maple neck with blocks? Clearly a neck from the seventies.
"Just stock" is the most used phrase in this video
"Otherwise it's stock" except the BIG HONKING P BASS PICKUP.
courtney is a babe
It probably has been mentioned before but the bass di is a Country man and the mic is a shure beta 98 condenser mic.
How's he gonna not talk about that P bass pickup slapped on that 60's jazz bass?!?
Really like that bass set up.
Haha, hey when you're playing a show almost every night, 2 weeks is forever.
Rebecca's an angel!
jimmys the man,was fortunate to study with him for several years in the boston area
My bad.
Google suck I use bing.
Mark Varney Project (MVP). Two albums were released, both with Jimmy on bass. Google it.
MVP never worked with Jimmy Earl.
Irony *High Pitch Voice*
Jimmy Earl is such a great and underrated bass player. Check out his work with MVP and Chick Corea. Just awesome.
"Rig Rundowns" are nuts and bolts gear only. What you want is something totally different – go buy a copy of Guitar Player or Rolling Stone if you want the backstory. Rebecca is absolutely on-target asking about everything from the guitar/ amp and pedalboard to cables, picks, strings, and every other possible incidental. She doesn't usually miss anything.
that red firebird is so cool
Rebecca, I love you!
!!!
for example, the reporter dind´t ask Jimmy about the Precision´s pickups on his Jazz bass,…I´d like to know about it…
OMG A GIRL ON THE INTERNET?! NO WAY! You losers are pathetic. I'm here to look at guitar gear. Not the person hosting.
Very nice work.
Nothing wrong with stock guitars… 🙂
That ain't no '66 Jazz Bass.
Jimmy Earl is awesome bassist! Check his albums!
Bass player is like super happy to show off his gear lol prolly cuz guitars normally get all the credit but bass is the real back bone of music
Morgan!!
Usually come across these rundown videos already after hours of pedal and gear demo videos, seeing her is like coming back to land from being on a desert island for years.
My strap on my tele's the same as the one on his goldtop!
I LOVE YOU REBECCA!!! PLEASE!!! MARRY ME!!!
How so?
Hear that kiddies? Don't scoop your mids. It kills your tone and you won't be heard on TV. Not to mention it just makes your sound suck anyway.
