Roland AC90 full Demo and Review w/ subwoofer

Here is a demo of the Roland Acoustic Chorus AC90 guitar amp. This demo shows off the AC90 with and without the added subwoofer. I tried to cover each feature of the amp and what every knob, switch, and input/output does. I used a Blueridge BR280 for the review loaded with the L.R. Baggs Anthem.

  • I am using this amp for last 8 years and love it. Just came to know about Sub woofer , i have a subwoofer supplied with Sony CRT TV , now TV has no use. Can I use this Sub woofer with this amp, pl advise.

  • Awesome fingercstyle technique. I have a little 250 Watt Sub I've been wondering what to do with it. Question, are the effects per or post send on the d.i. out?

  • Stupid question, but to connect the AC-90 with a subwoofer or bass amp, do you need the same kind of cable that we use to connect the guitar to the amp? In other words, a mono cable one?

And the other jack has to get putted into the hole for a bass instrument?
I ask because I've seen that some subwoofers have connection holes for left and right jacks. I don't know how you can connect the AC-90 to the subwoofer in these kind of cases…

    Thanks for your answer! ????

  • Exactly what I do with an Acoustic bass amp. 12-string Takamine with only 10 strings and an EC-3 bass pedal sounds awesome.

  • What kind of bass amp did you use and how did you connect it and does the AC90 then control the bass sound or do you set it on the aux amp?

  • Thanks for a good video I am looking to pick one of these up today in like new condition. How well does it work with an electric guitar?

  • My AC90 sounds best w/o any external preamp-acoustimax-
in my use. Great internal effects evidently. Love this amp.

  • Love this demo. Do you think there's any feasible way to run a sub w/ a different setup? Maybe split the output and run one through an EQ pedal? Pretty far fetched but figured I'd ask, that's a great guitar you have too, Blueridge is the best!

  • Great review; I'm considering buying an AC-100 to compliment my Ovation Elite 1865 12-string acoustic/electric. Not many Youtube's on the 100; similar to the 90. 100 should pack a bit more punch no? Thanks for the thorough review. Great playing and style as well. Cheers

  • I own one of these and just wanted to point out that per the owners manual…if your acoustic guitar has a built in pre- amp, the pickup switch should be set to magnetic even if its a piezo pickup. Its kinda confusing. Wouldve been better to label the switch active/passive instead.

  • good review for the acoustic, but I really wanted to hear how good the vocal channel sounds. There's alot of good ac amps, but most of them don't have enough bass on the vocals. I'll keep looking for a review using a microphone

  • Excellent review, thanks for sharing.  Trying to decide which acoustic amp to go with, either the Marshall AS100D or the Roland AC90, both same price.  Too bad the Roland AC90 doesn't come in Rosewood or with the looper like the AC33.

  • Maybe I missed it, but why is the AC90 better than the AC60 (wattage aside?) — I own a AC60 & love it, but was forced to go with the AC60 at the time, being that the 90 hadn't come out yet….  I find it great as an amp, but other than the volume boost, are there any extra features that the 90 would give over the 60 ?

  • nice demo … looking for a bass amp after this video to go with my ac90 — thanks for the heads up.  I also run two pickups in my Larrivee to get stereo with 2 amps sometimes.

  • Thank you brother for your tip, got me to the place that I have trying to accomplish every since I got my 90, with the addition of my base amp, I can dial in my guitar and vocals to a whole new level of SWEEEET.
