  • Question. I have a reverb pedal in my effects loop that has a level knob. This just controls amount of signal not amount of reverb. I use that level knob to attenuate. I turn master way up to get power tubes cooking and use the level to make over volume reasonable. Does this donner pedal do anything different that that?

  • Help me out, this goes in the effects loop? cause the other attenuators Ive seen go between the amp and the cab and are much more expensive, I could save hundreds getting a cheaper amp that doesn't have selectable wattage output by getting one of these pedals?

  • To me the amp sounded better above 4. At 6 it was SICK! It sounded crisper, tighter to my ears.

  • Your amp sounds awesome. JHS makes a master volume like this. They only work in the fx loop, these will NOT attenuate between the amp and speakers

  • Imo it sounded more full on one without the pedal than 6 with it. My god the sound of your amp is amazing!!!

  • Sorry you can't hear the difference between your "4 attenuated" and your "1 not attenuated"; from this end of the chain, the tone is wayyy less fizzy and more open. But, if moving that volume up makes your "heart race" and gets you nervous, then rock on my friend!

  • Where is that 1st cable on the blue pedal coming from? I want to use my effects processor in the effects loop still .thx

  • I use it as a volume control foot switch after I find the sweet spot. Medium to max sound with a step.

  • It's not an attenuator. They invented the term "passive" attenuator. It has nothing to do with the cost and nothing in common with the more expensive ones. It is not allowing you to push the power section at low volume like a load box. It's just giving more dial roll for amps that go crazy loud from 1-2.

  • Thanks for playing something Metal & Loud!!! The JHS Little Black Amp Box might be small, but it lays horizontal…I don't like that they called this one "emo" though.
