Another Fab Video thanks Rufus.????
My take on this is turn the treble off and play soft with a low action. Check out my EP if you have time. Mike Edmonds Quintet, Silk Street Vibrations . Sounds great Rufus as always and yeah I had a lesson with you in New York years ago in 2004 , you played us Tormato by Yes which was a great lp to get into
Thanks
This is excellent Rufus thanks for sharing

Isotope and Allans solo on it when he covers it on the "None too sone" album is the most fantastic thing you will ever hear in your life ????????????
Sweet ty
Great video. Learned a lot from this one. Thanks Rufus
This is great! So useful, and a lot to unpack. Thanks so much for putting this up. You sound great too, really nice stuff!
Nice one!
You left out my second favorite Parker blues (after Billies Bounce) Blues for Alice.
Excellent video as usual.
Cheers and Well Done!
As you were playing your walking line with the change in hand position I said to myself – "Oh man… I gotta transcribe what he's playing." and your message popped up and told me to do just that! Great stuff as usual Rufus. Sounds wonderful.
Absolute gems in this video . Cheere
Isotope!
Nice video! Hands down! 😉 btw I love my upright bass, but my old fender jazz is a far more ergonomic and useful music "tool", is it wrong I prefer the sound it has for jazz ? SO much more direct, and drummers seem to prefer it.
Here's a cool video lesson demonstrating a great way to achieve a round, warm tone when walking on the bass-and you don't have to switch to the front pick up to achieve this! Plus, some extra useful hacks to develop your walking lines and melodic skill…
