I looked up this guy when I heard him say in an interview that he didn’t take up the guitar till he was 17. That would seem too late for most people to reach an advanced level, but he apparently was quite an animal about learning. Also, though, I think he said he was a sophomore in high school, so he might have been “only” 15 or 16. Going to listen to some more of his playing.
Great guitar player. Nasty sinus infection.
He sounds like he caught Covid.
This guy has an appreciation of music like no one I've ever heard before. He uses the word "beautiful" so much. He just loves the sound.
I had to stretch my top 10 favorite players to 11
What amo was he using? Sounds incredible as always..
I love Allen's playing, but this was more basic than I'd hoped. Also, why can't TrueFire do some simple audio editing and mute your vocal channel on those sniffles. It's so easy to do and I feel for ya buddy! Is that a No caster?
Thank you Allen for sharing your knowledge with us. I only wish YouTube was around when I picked up the guitar back in the early 1960's.
Notice how he vibratos even the simple chords, he is comited to every little thing he plays. That is a lesson right there from a real musician.
