THIS GUITAR IS CONFUSING…
Guitar of the Day! Taking a quick look at the Telecaster from Fender’s American Ultra II Series, their “most advanced” series yet. Compound fingerboard radii, modern “D” neck shapes, anodized pickguards, and this is the first Fender production series with luminlays across the board… but no stainless steel frets like the Ultra Luxe series?? Weird.

No stainless steel frets like on the Ultra Luxe series for Fender's "most advanced" series, though? Weird… ???? Either way, love mine. It's my ideal "traditional" Telecaster. Full demo on the channel!
Caught you playing find the real ????
This gives me the same chills of a new iPhone presentation.
“Look, new colours”
having a toggle to do humbucker is actually so ideal, is making me want one. super interesting
That green is sick
This is the most excited I have been about Fender in a while. Very nice short on the stats.
This is why I always buy player telecasters: because the sound changes just take a little bit of learning and a soldering gun. Plus, you won't put a treble bleed in yours, because backing off the volume a tiny bit is a basic part of a telecaster's tone control.
You can also add: concentric pots, for volume/tone control on each pickup. This is actually kinda hard though.
A ~27pf capacitor leading from your neck pickup to ground, to make the neck pickup more bassy, bell-toned, vocal, or pick your adjuective of choice.
These are just basics. Telecasters are the most heavily modded guitars in the world.
I wish they did a rosewood fingerboard
How much longer before Fender progresses past the boring dot inlays?
This is Fender going nootz
no way dude is it a piece of wood with magnets on it
So basically it's a telecaster then what
Nice Alter Bridge riff
Nah
to get that Humbucker sound — you have to use a Humbucker PU from any Gibson guitar — thus not a true Fender guitar …
I can’t exclaim enough how nice the neck feels in my hand. My hands are medium sized and chunky, but the thumb over the neck thing feels so comfortable. I can chord so effortlessly.
This is a country rock guitarists dream
Relabeled guitar with $1000 extra.
The Midwest emo fans are foaming at the mouth (myself included)
If you want a modern tele just buy the jim root or get the ltd TE 1000 guitars
Fantastic, so this probably is an affordable guitar yeah? Probably only around £500 or so? Definitely not over £2,000?
I'm getting an Ultra Luxe Strat with the Floyd. The 2024 models have stainless steel frets. Silverburst, babyyyyy!
Stainless frets? Wierd I didn't hear that.
Is there a strat version?
The maple neck/fretboard ???? it's nice. Ebony feels good too though. Rosewood is probably my least favorite.
Fender should go to the EART factory and takes notes on their fret ends lol
Fender marketing ????. What i just heard describes a 15 year old American Deluxe with different pickups and glow in the dark position markers. I guess that technically that does make it the most advanced Tele and Strat, but it doesn't sound all that different.
Edit: I remembered that the Am Deluxe Tele didn't have locking tuners, but that Strat did.
Looks awesome. I can’t wait to never be able to afford one
I want
I feel like an Ultra Tele is the same as putting go faster stripes on a Transit van. Still a workhorse but looks a tiny bit nicer.
Very reminiscent of the Reverend Z-One ????
With maple necks ??
I can't find those anywhere
Take notes, Gibson.
It's how many how you can get many of these specs on $200-300 guitars nowadays. Fender is really milking it
Noiseless pickups suck major balls …they sound like witches’ nails against glass…I had to change mine in my tele ultra (for some fender custom ones) and it sounds amazing now
How about sire tele instead of this?
When Fender decides to get with the times and put a roasted maple neck with SS frets I'll take one in that bad ass solar flare color. Tell then no thanks.
I actually really like the telecaster a lot and want to have one and this looks like the perfect one. The saddles appear to be the kind where the screws are short enough to not stick out above them when you set your action low like your normal bent steel saddles. Also I love the pickguard with the brushed steel look
the pickup switch being angled looks so off yet actually makes a lot of sense. subtle detail, but probably the one you will always look for in every new tele
No bluetooth & no USB
It's soooo incredibly advanced, it has all the technology from the 80s!
I rlly want one. I'm into j rock and metal so switching from telecaster to FUCKING DJENT would be funny and fun all at once
