  • What tuners or what recommendation do you make so that it does not go out of tune with the tremulous that you have to change only the tuners and if so, what mark?

  • 6 saddle bridge don't belong on a tele gotta be a ashtray compensated or it ain't correct

  • if I bought those I would change out the tuners for maybe locking tuners ,& change out the pick ups retail as is those guitars are 119.99 USD .. so for an extra few bucks could turn it into a really good guitar.. drill holes & turn it into string though.. all the Squire's string though the body start at 250.00 USD could fix up those Debuts really good for less than 250.00 USD

  • Hi John, thanks for looking at these and sharing your thoughts about them. My immediate reaction is that if they will not stay in tune that is a big problem for a beginner such as myself. That the tuners need to be replaced immediately isn't great. Basically out of the box I'd want stable tuning to be able to make a noise I can relate to; the finer points of the tone are still a bit beyond me but I can hear the difference between the two. I suppose one could change the pickups eventually in the Strat but that is another adventure! What are your thoughts about the strings on these?

  • I’ve always had squires and have never failed me yet but the best squires come from Japan factories

  • One of those where if you changed the headstock and told me it was a stratocaster 2k i wouldn't have a clue you were lying… It would be cool to own a high end stratocaster though

  • Did I hear you correctly when you said that the Stratocaster is the more classic Guitar? even though the tele Came First? and therefore is the more classic guitar ?
also curious to see how these hold up (specifically that tele) to say the Affinity Series

  • If Squier's are so good, why don't they just slap Fender stickers on them? I've never understood high profile pros using Squier's. I had a Squier back in the '80s when I was a kid, and it was garbage (same with an Epiphone), so I guess my dislike of them started from that.

  • Any new guitar…..remove strings, tighten tuner bushing nuts & the ALL screws on the entire body. Then put on a quality set of strings. Some sets of budget tuners can actually hold tune fairly well & more likely with better strings. ????????

  • They are perfectly fine. I've had mine since they launched. I have lots of guitars, and this is as good as any of them.

  • Great video (subscribed). I'd love it if Squier made a Debut (Amazon) version of the Mustang like they currently do for the Strat ($120) and P-bass ($130). Maple fretboard neck & single pickup to keep it cheap and really inviting to modders. I don't see how it could miss.

  • The main problem with these cheap beginner guitars is that they are not beginner friendly. Anyone who is starting out on guitar will be frustrated with the tuning stability issues and will not be able to achieve a proper setup unless they reach out a more experienced person. My first electric was an awfull Behringer iAxe stratocaster that almost made me giving up on electric guitars, even though I had experience on classical and acoustic guitars. Nowadays, having quite a few good electric guitars, I'm more than happy playing a Harley Benton 90 euros DIY telecaster kit.
