  • I wonder what you think of the Joyo Taichi? it is their Dumble clone pedal. I like it but dont have much else to compare it to.

  • Includes paid promotion should be said at the beginning and end of every gig.

  • Listening to it blind I am not ashamed to say were you to have told me it was a £500 plus 'named' amp I'd be none the wiser. I think there is so much snake oil and guff out there in Gearland this little beaut is wonderfully refreshing. Pretty certain I'll buy one. Great piece of kit to pair with a modeller for a tasty and highly portable recording rig. Possibly even gig with it.

  • I’ve got the same Joyo Amp (and a couple of their pedals) and I enjoy goofing on it. I don’t gig, but it’s great at home.

  • I tried the Joyo Tweedy version on a fusion gig and it was just fine. Plenty loud and with some pedals to help, it’s surprising solid.

  • I had the Zombie for a few months, jammed with it a few times and I found the clean channel took pedals surprisingly well – especially the SD-1!

  • Those Joyo amps have been around a long time. They are trash IMHO. Well, maybe that is too harsh. Perhaps calling them "toys" would be more appropriate. Are they acceptable as a play-at-home practice amp? Maybe, although I think a cheap modeler like the Ampero Mini can create much better tones. And so can a PC or Mac with some cheap or even free software. But for someone who doesn't have a modeler and doesn't want to have one, I suppose it's OK for @home. More of a novelty than a serious amp though.

  • If I'm not mistaken, these were developed in collaboration with Henning (EytschPi42). But far from the smallest amp out there. That would be the ZVex Nano Head.

  • These things are fantastic I have 2 the Jackman mk2 and Vivo 5150 style! Legit Marshall tones!! Sounds fantastic

  • There's nothing sublime about them & I will spend money when I have to. But, I'ma say my Joyo amp & preamp pedals were great values. The ACtone & Americana are badass. HF.

  • My 5mm by EHX is wayyyy smaller. You might like to try that or the 44 at some point.

  • These are very cool , fantastic fx loop , but , I had the AC one , almost perfect clean tone but awful overdriven sound almost unusable , I sent it back , as thought it was faulty , replacement unit sounded totally different but in a worse way , so sent back . I’m sure I had a bad batch so not sure I would trust to gig with without backup . Love to try the tweedy though .

  • ????
Now just connect a split from any modeller after the amp head model and post fx into the fx loop return.
Then match your real cab to a speaker impulse on your modeller for FOH and Bingo!
I use one of these with a TMP and a 1×12 Greenback cab and couldn’t be happier.

  • If it does the job well, I generally prefer smaller. I'm glad my computer isn't as big as a house.
