Prelude BWV 999 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) – Sheet music or Tab for classical guitar. The level is mid to late intermediate (Grade 7). Originally for lute in C minor it adapts nicely when arranged for guitar in D minor. It was likely written on lute- harpsichord (lautenwerk), an uncommon instrument, and so it became popularly known as a Lute Suite. The first appearance of the work was found in a collection of keyboard works collected by Johann Peter Kellner (1705-1772). That said, the Prelude aspect of the work is certainly in a style common to lutes works of the era. An unfingered edition is also available upon request.

I think you should hit some notes stronger and do more vibratos to adjust the interval no matter if you play strong or not.
Unbelievable I enjoyed a lot as a classical guitarist ❤❤❤❤❤
You are officially my new guitar teacher. Just bought this. Excited to practice it as my next piece under your enlightening instruction!
Bar 15 is evil…i’ll try the solution you use!
why do you charge 4 euros for something you didnt even make

thank you for this course!
Thank you!
It is so beautiful both in the piano and in the guitar.
❤❤❤❤❤
I use this piece as a prelude for the dm allemande of the 2nd violin partita played single voice but with liberal brise. So much richness to Bach whether actual or implied polyphony.
Excellent lesson. Thanks
Although I have done a word search on this page (not including all the replies to the comment listed) I could not find a reference to the Beatle song "Because" from Abbey Road. To me, at least, this song , and by extension and slight variation, "Sun King" which follow are basically rip offs from this piece. All musicians, myself included, go through creative dry spells and look to learning other musical forms and genres to draw inspiration. Lennon was obviously experiencing something somewhat similar is my guess. But then again I do have Grade 10 music theory for piano and it may be that I hear this more than others, or I could be out to lunch , to put it mildly. Anyways, very well done instructional video; one of the best. thanks for listening to my rant and remember: Peace and Love… always
Wow!! Nice, you play it at the same speed I like to play it at. Segovia speed is way too fast, it just doesn't have the same feeling. I found using a rubato on some of the darker chords throws even more emotion into the arrangement. Just subscribed. Thanks!
I know that the answer is going to be "as quickly as you can play it cleanly…" but what is the goal for a tempo?
PERFECT TEMPO
You use your fingers so skillfully, the sound of guitar is very also very nice!
Can you let me know the model of the Brand of the guitar? Please!
Thank you for your help!
Wonderful lesson ???? especially the advice to LISTEN ???? to Bach
Amazing lesson.
As for 14:42, I can make that stretch no problem but I can't barre with my pinky (I can only sound the G string). Do you have any tips for how to barre with pinky?
For the time being I'm moving it up an octave as you suggested.
sweet, thanks
How can I teach myself to do a barré with the forth finger?
