They definitely sound different, but I wouldn't say that one necessarily sounds better than the other.

Squier sounds much better
What I want to know is,if there is any artist out there that would donate either one to a charity and if that person would want to be a part of a calabash of artist for artist.
Not ten grand’s worth of difference.
If you pay to get a better sound, there's just zero value for your money. Spending more basically gets you a guitar that won't fight you as much. But the value isn't linear like the price. After 2000-3000 it doesn't get much better. Rare woods and flashy relic but there's not much room for better quality after the 3000 mark
I have the exact blue sonic, and I swapped out a tortoise shell pickguard. It's very pretty and sounds great. I played with other expensive fenders at guitar centers while I was buying it, and my cheap guitar sounds just as good. ????
Squier is hotter, a bit warmer and fatter .

Vox is the ox pulling the wagon either way.
Have them both. On the right amp all the difference in the world. The custom shop plays much better and sounds way sweeter.
Squire won't stay in tune. The neck will cup and the nut will crack.

The squire seems to need you to jump around more to get a note but you can relax more by knowing you paid more for fender.
