I have a question on using the HX Stomp live on a Pedalboard. I purchased the IMA-SignaturePack for my HX-Stomp and i really like the transparent tones. Do i have to turn the PreAmp-Block in the HX-Stomp OFF, if i use an MXR Bass PreAmp after the HX-Stomp to FOH? Or do i have to keep it ON for some color in the tone?
Ian I clicked like on every video that has you in it and I thank you for all you have done to improve my bass playing skills. You are the tone Master when it comes to bass effects pedals and I encourage you to expand on that. I took an oath of poverty when I decided to dedicate myself to the bass so I don’t know if I will ever be able to afford the HX but I do buy the occasional effect pedal and you have made suggestions as to the order in which they should be connected. Thanks for that. Please let me know more about what pedals sound good in what order. I have seen suggestions elsewhere and you blow them away with your knowledge and understanding of the functionality of pedals. The pedals made for bass sound better than the guitar pedals and there’s where you can get rich in the industry we live for ????
Ian could make an hour long “Neck Specs” podcast interesting
Can you make a complete review about the new @boss me90b, i want to buy it and cant figure out what to do.
Awesome rig! ????????
@Ian. What exact model of Labellas is on your bass¿ They are Super Polished 47-107? Can You tell me about tension to that exact gauge? Or maybe yours is custom made?
The strings are pretty rad, they remind me of GHS BriteFlats
I love watching you and Scott together. You’re both incredible musicians and your chemistry is great. Educational and entertaining. Oh, and that girl, Sharon, I think? She’s a perfect addition to your team. She’s also impressively talented.
That run at 4:02 is amazing! If that’s in a song, what song is it??
I'd like to know what would be on his pedalboard if Ian had someone else to carry it for him.
I’m gonna buy those Presets for bass on the helix LT, I just bought… factory reset it to be sure and it’s. In need of some sound yo!
Thanx for getting us thinking &.Dreaming about how crappy our gear & hopes of stepping well not that bad but Loved all of it. That Bass is Friggin Sick also the Head is Badass thats how I like stuff Simple, light. But still Delivers, Thanx 4 Sharing Bro…
I have budget bass going into a Helix LT, and that's my whole rig lol.
Love your channel, sir.
Hey, wonderfull presentation. Question: why the Cali? Cant the helix do compression? Thinking of buying a helix. Main reason is that i want to have different comp settings. Will that work with the helix?
Did you do a deep review on that noble yet? I’d love to hear how it sounds on a studio setting
Love the rig rundown! Definitely going to order those strings, I've been looking for exactly what you described
What is the full name of Labella strings? Thanks
Lol. Bro you talked about the esthetics of the g&l basses. And you pull out that god awful lull bass????. guess to each it's own. Hideous
Ian – your gig has to be significant enough for someone to do a rig rundown on you. And then it’s your guitar tech that walks you through it. Go be famous enough to have been asked instead of making a video.
6:44 i thought he was gonna say 21 Savage
It appears that the strings on the tuning peg have not been cut down for size or trimmed in any way. Is there a reason for that? Have I been doing it "wrong" all these years?
Joy of missing out. Thats Great!
What do you use for wireless in ear monitoring?
Hey Ian, so a pedal is something I certainly need for my own practice as a bassist. Currently, and I've mentioned this before but I run my bass through a guitar amp. My problem with that, when I practice slap for example, there's a lot of feedback and it sounds like an earthquake in a way. What pedals do you recommend for running a bass through a guitar amp, in order to cut out the rumbling? Would the HX Stomp help out with that? I don't even know how to plug a pedal in honestly
Ian casually owning 2 of the 5 noble bass amp heads. No big deal. lol.
Great video Ian, enjoy the stage m/.
Awesome setup! Did you let go off the White Noble? Want one so bad ????
Thank you for all that you do for the bass community!
Can we know what power supply you use for the pedals?
Brilliantly explained as always Ian. Really worthwhile.
Thanks lan, l love to see other peoples' approach to gear choice & implementation, especially when they've invested something of themselves in it. Well as to other peeps gear, l would certainly be interested in Scott's & Shaz's as all three of you cover different areas / styles of music.
Dood! That Noble. So jealous! Killer rig bro!
How do those strings compare to something like d'addario half rounds?
Steve Harris and Geddy Lee rig rundowns. Also, an interview with Bob and/or Forest Gallien.
Would love to see a breakdown for Brian Gibson of Lightning Bolt!
The most important part is Ian,what an amazing player, and so passionate and inspiring.????????????
Very interesting! I'm curious whether you're running any amp sims on the HX Stomp? And why the amp? You go from the Stomp to the DI to FOH, why bother with the amp? It's cool, I get it, but still 😉 Thanks!
Mr. Allison, I have some question: do you run to the noble Amp from the Stomp? If that’s how you do it, then you separate the PA and Amp line or not? Do you send the Amp and Cab simulation to the Noble Amp, or you don’t use any Amp+Cab sim with the Stomp? Thank you. And thank you for all of the contents.
Thank you Ian, it is always great to see you do stuff with all the passion that you have for the instrument.
Can you do a Linkin Park Dave Farrell bass rig rundown, I don't anyone has done that yet. Even thought they are one of the most influential and loved bands in the last 20 years.
Thanks so much Ian, really enjoyed the rundown and sounds.
Would love to see a rundown of Sting's touring rig.
I love this! Would love to dig into the HX Stomp the way that you have!
Ian should be sponsored by Duluth Trading Company, considering how often he wears those shirts!
Not sure what kind of shape he’s in but some kind of guided effects clinic with Juan Alderete would be rad!
Guys a huge influence.
Sei un mito.
