  • Iron Maiden "Iron Maiden" it's the Greatest Heavy Metal album of all time.
PS: 95% of all Iron Maiden albums are Masterpieces but "Iron Maiden" is on another Level the level of Greatness.

  • Thanks for the list, good stuff indeed!
Judas Priest – British Steel has it all though, as your hyper shirt-props for that!
(few corrections Holy Diver is 1983, Turbo is 1986)
THE BEST TOP is Judas Priest – Unleashed in the East (1979)

  • This list is perfectly acceptable. There should be a place for Metal Church’s debut and Metallica’s Ride the Lightning, imo. It’s all subjective and fluid. My opinions change all the time.

Btw, two of the best shows I’d seen were Mercyful Fate opening for Motörhead in 1984 and WASP opening for Metallica in early 1985. Shit was happening in those years.

  • Putting King Diamond over Dio is criminal bro considering all of his amazing albums from Rainbow, Sabbath, and his own material. No way man. Respect tho dude

  • Dude I'm a 53 year old Geez as you called your Pop and I grew up on this stuff and it always makes me smile to see a young dude into the stuff I loved, most young guys don't like our stuff and call us boomers…lol, I get it, most metalheads love their era best but as a young guy I loved my Dad's hard 60's rock and still do…love it man! ????????

  • DIdn't see any poser picks and yes glam metal is the only so called "poser" genre I think can be worth a damn in a couple of moments like Dokken and Skid row. Would love to see a top 15 blackened thrash albums.

  • 1* i am glad to see slave to the grind and the crimson Idol on your list (+shout at the devil !)
2* it's so sad you didn't mention Manowar, maybe hail to England or into Glory ride…
3* my personal Saxon choice would be 2022 carpe diem.
4* the frog eater in me suggest that you would listen to ADX.

    Thanks for the video.

  • Saxon IS legit. For me, Piece of Mind is the tops Maiden album. Holy Diver is for sure in the Pantheon. Paranoid is MY fave Sabbath record too. RATT boi. Still underrated.

  • Old school metalhead here, and yes Dokken gets a pass, for the genre they were grouped with they are legit especially the music, the guitarists are masters.
    Also yes mercyful Fate.
    Never got into Dio.
Big Ozzy fan, for me he is on top of Mount Rushmore of rock/metal.
*The first 2 metal church for honorable mention

  • Good bands, good albums.
My list would be completly different (with exception on Rainbow, one of my favorite albums), but overall no bad albums.
    And yes. Dokken is good.

I don't intend on putting here whole list, but I'm more into Angel Witch debut, Heavy Load, Manilla Road, Warlord. This kind of stuff. Also would include Taken By Force by Scorpions. Such great album.

  • Good choices. 56 years here and still liaten. I would have chosen restless and wild over balls to the wall, and diary of a madman over bark at the moon, but to each thier own. Dokken album is heavy. Enjoyed watching the different picks. Saxon power and thr glory could have easily made it.

  • Saxon are from Barnsley, Yorkshire and they do not speak like that. ???? Screaming For Vengeance, Defenders of Faith, Sad Wings of Destiny, Stained Class and Sin After Sin are all infinitely better albums than Painkiller.
