Back in March, Chicago’s Fall Out Boy blasted through Birmingham, Alabama, in the middle of a year-long tour supporting their 2023 release, So Much (for) Stardust. It was their first solo headline tour since 2018, and they brought along loads of new noisemakers for the occasion.
Frontman Patrick Stump has moved on from his trademark Gretsch electrics, guitarist Joe Trohman scored an Explorer that may or may not remind us of a certain purple McDonald’s character, and Pete Wentz packs some basses that bring both ice and fire to the gig. And while tube amps still reign supreme in the studio, including the recording of So Much (for) Stardust, the band goes digital and speaker-free on the road.

9:05 god? is that you?
I would never switch to modelers, real amps all the way! Especially if you are this big it would definitely be no problem, which is why I love joe bonamassa
the lighting guy's having a laugh during Patricks interview lmao
i was in Los Angeles once multiple years ago for a punk show, and while waiting in a restroom line at a mcdonalds some hours before said show, and some guy swore i was that patrick stump guy… he was insisting i was, basically making a scene about it……i had to leave the mcdonalds and seek an alternate site for urinating…. all because i had sideburns like he used to…. curse you, patrick stump! (i'm kidding, i don't really know the guy, maybe he's alright or something.)
I think these dudes have ALWAYS been personally involved in their rig rundowns, and that is so sick
Dont listen to the band but ive enjoyed their run downs. They seem like some cool guys.
Bruh i need joe to speak more in interview or have more solo interview cuz he’s hilarious ???? idk i just love hearing him talk and he’s so relatable
We saw Fall Out Boy on the Hella Mega Tour with Green Day and Weezer. We weren't very familiar with FOB's music, but man they put on a great show! Became instant fans.
hey this was before my show!!!
For those wondering about the "black goose with a red eye," it's a Loon; unsure the meaning for Pete personally but chances are he's seen a few in his lifetime being from Chicago. The loon is the state bird of Minnesota and it's a type of duck that is black with white spots and red eyes. They're pretty neat to see and they sound pretty cool as well!
That ALL shirt ❤
I've played that Continental in NYC. And the side street was closed for a movie set. The kid guarding the entrance to the street moved the cones and let us park 10 feet into the street. So we didn't have to panic looking for parking…. It was the best moment of my touring life.
Sweet ALL shirt!
Love this type of stuff ????
All’s Mass Nerder ????????
Lots of useful info in this series of interviews. Thank you!!
FOB’s music inspired my tone journey
Man, Patricks guitars are ugly 😀
ジョーがGLAYのHISASHIモデルを使ってるのすごいな
My 1st guitar (which I very much regret not still having) was a new S300D back in 1975! I think it's quality was the reason I stuck with learning the guitar all those years ago.
25:11 I remember seeing those in guitar world legit over 10 years ago I always wondered about them
Pete wentz never comes out and talk about his gear but I love his music man line up I I used to play music man’s a lot but they are too hot for me and been using fender jazz basses I have his original squire p bass it all beat up it was but for me back in the day I used it a lot and when I found out he was coming out with a passive music man I had to buy
Joe is actually hilarious.
I was wondering why I couldn't find any of my favorite guilds… THIS GUY HAS EM ALL lol
I can’t remember the last time I heard a FOB song that sounded like it was made with actual instruments.
GABE’S OASIS?!? My band just played there for the first time last year lmao
Bringin' crappy back.
Rocking the ETID shirt ????????
Geeze I wonder who the diva is *cough* Pete. Loved the story about the explorer
The bird is a Loon. Not sure his story on it but Loons are a darker bird with red eyes.
34:00 Joe keeping it very real hahahahah
24:22 screen couldnt handle all three of you guys t the sme time hahaha
22:10 hilarious
Zemaitis!!!!
Ok repair besi tayar tamiya
