I've had one for 10 years. It gets more play time than any of my guitars or basses. I use it to double my bass lines an octave up, and to double my guitar lines an octave down. It's a trip doubling a 12 string electric melody line with the Bass 6!
Stop this non sense
Babbington (Soft Machine) .
Is the classic vibe bass vi a good grab ?
Bass + spring reverb = pure 50’s
That sounded like hair grease, checkerboard dance floors, strawberry malts, and hot rods!
Aint that just a baritone?
My high school used to have one
Glen actually played the "Witichita Lineman" solo on a Dano 6 string bass. That was the original "tik tak" bass used to reinforce upright bass lines on records in Nashville in the 50s. Fender came up with the Fender VI to cut into Dano's market share.

ugh. so beautiful. Twin Peaks vibes all around
Wes Montgomery plays one on the album, Movin' Along.
They are called barritone guitars. Not basses.
"Sounds like a bass!" [Proceeds to play almost inaudibly]
Me: Yep, sounds like a bass!
I need one of the ease for my week fingers????
It also djents
Nice hat with the new flag!
What a sound !!!!! ????Supa ! ????
It also rips for belligerent heavy riffs
The band Roxferry uses this and they sound absolutely sick, check them out 😉
Ive never been more revolted in my life.
So it's just a guitar with bass strings for a premium price?
Bass? You mean drop G0 thall chug machine?
Somali flag hat?
Love the hat!!! MN represent!!!
minnesota hat ????
no one knows about em eh
It's not a behs, it's a mehs…
ahh yess cure thing
You are a lineman for the countyyyyy…
I can’t stand Bass-ublicans “That’s not bass!!” / “Basses don’t use picks!” And etc. like please let music technology innovate. Fender is cool but it’s like the antique 1980 ford ranger. Let people discover other instruments please
Dude played it in Cream in a video for Strange Brew
Cream bassist also used a six string bass
We still have these, it's called 7 string baritone multi scale ????????
Aerosmith back in the saddle again
Or…you can do what loathe did and use it for modern metal/ shoegaze
What's the tuning on that Thang?
Playing Polyphia stuff on a bass VI was the coolest thing ive done in a while
I thought they used baritone necks
we all think of pickups as the magic part of our basses/guitars… but what switches what it is in a moment may actually be… the switches??!!
Yes, the bass VI lives in both worlds…it has the switches to switch
Helter skeltervibes
I would only play Twin Peaks theme om repeat
How’d they get the splashy tone at the beginning?
Now build one with two more strings
It's a "bass guitar", a guitar in the bass register. The same as a "baritone guitar" is a guitar in the baritone register.
