Hey Everyone! Today we’re putting the Squier Sonic Precision Bass through its paces. The budget P bass market has never been more competitive, does the Sonic Precision have what it takes to set itself apart from the competition? Let’s find out!
This bass and all my other basses with rounds are strung with SIT Foundation Nickel Plated Stainless Steel 45-105(125) unless otherwise noted. Check them out at https://sitstrings.com/

Great Demo, Lobster—the Sonic series seems to be good value. I bought a Sonic Bronco recently in white—it was fun to swap out ALL the.hardware with gold Hipshot—my Larry Graham short scale tribute! Well, it works for me! lol
I want to know where you found a trans pride strap, that is awsome!
Babe, I must have lost track of time, but better late than never, CONGRATS!!! I know you want to just do your bass thang, but like… thank you for embracing your truth. I'm gonna go watch and like the videos I missed.
I was expecting the pickup to not sound as good as it does. I'll likely still upgrade to a Nordstrand or something
What a great deal. Sweet kitty, too!
Co ten chłop z Sabą zrobił????
i feel like im super late to comment on this but i'm so happy to see other trans bassists out there, especially someone who's videos i've recently discovered and really enjoy!!! your reviews are always so fair and level-headed, it influenced me to buy a sire z3! anyway, you look wonderful and seem much happier! cheers!!!
One of the best instrument reviews I’ve ever seen. Great job!
Also, your audio quality , by the time it’s getting to me thru YT, my phone and Bluetooth, is remarkably good ???????? Right on!
I've seen some of these newer reviews, and while I appreciate you putting the time into these Sire & Squier basses for potential buyers, I wonder when that BB1200 hanging on the wall will get some time in the limelight…
Gotta conpare the new hils HEX 5 string headless with the ibanez hl !!!!!!
Sorry the question is out of the subject! I received as a gift a EMG VMC control. I have aPJ style bass (Profile Black Magic 1985 made in Japan) and I’m kind of interested to install it in my bass. My bass is wired whit a master vol, master tone and a 3 way switch, if I install it I would probably wire it whit 2 vol and the VMC. My question is do you ever have any feedback about that product. By the way I very enjoy your reviews they are very interesting, thank you in advance Gino
Cool dress! Cool bass! Nice kitty! I was impressed with the tone of that guy!
5 out 5 claws for this comprehensive review.
And once again, Europe is being taken for a ride: 230€ (242$) for the limited edition. I am so tired of being taken for a fool for global products.
Hey Lobster!! I would recommend this to a beginner in a second. It is solid for a bass and playable. Here is my take. I have been playing this kind of instrument for sixty years and for you a long time. We know what plam or finger mute to use, where the eg should be, etc. That's what the beginner will have to learn. But, not a bad bass to learn on. Very good review. Love ya Jon
I can't find the yellow on fenders website, just the blue, black, and some natural looking one. I'm no beginner, but for just over 200 dollaree doos I might get one
This is actually considered a "oh shit my bass got stolen and i have a show in 3 hours" definitely a pretty solid bass for how cheap it is
Thanks for mentioning the EMG GZR pups. I’m going to mod my MIM pbass.
Wondered where you went, only seeing the return now, congrats! There's absolutely NO excuse for getting rid of the claw rating system though, how can I know how you truly feel about a bass without the clicks of the magic claw!? (I'm not entirely familiar with the intricacies of the journey you've been on, but if a byproduct of it means you can no longer summon a magic lobster claw on command you must excuse my ignorance and I profusely apologise.)
Great job as always Lobster!
Great value for money, the competition has been good. I'd watch out with the QC, that's my experience with Squier, vastly different from one to another. Great that they don't gloss the back neck!
Also 38mm nut seems to become popular on precision.
For new players I recommend to try out a couple of different sizes, smaller size is not a universal benefit.
For example I am much more comfortable with 41 to 44, in C shape. It's very personnal.
Lovely playing and great review. Thank you
