Collaborating with the internationally renowned Visual Arts and Experiences Group (VAEG), the production employs powerful visuals and sophisticated lighting techniques to craft an immersive cinematic storytelling experience.

Kuweni symbolizes Sri Lanka’s intangible cultural heritage. Charitha’s decision to center the production on Kuweni stems from her embodiment of Sri Lanka’s culture and history, representing a misunderstood narrative about the island’s first female ruler, whose influence endured for centuries despite her tragic fate of betrayal and murder. The production itself is a statement of challenging established norms, reshaping perceptions of Sri Lankan music, and reintroducing contemporary interpretations of traditional Sri Lankan culture.
