I hope you have enjoyed this episode on the the (hi)story of the Wah wah Pedal!!!
As I was on tour being on stage myself when this stream was going live, I had pre-recorded this stream.
Enjoy my Hendrix and Papa was a Rolling Stone Jam..:;????
I had fun doing it and diving into the topic- and showing you some different wah pedals from my collection ????
Enjoy your Wah performances with whatever is your favorite Wah pedals!
Next week I’m back Home, so we do a real „live“-stream !
See you again next week,
Cheers, Thomas
Electric funeral
Jimi hendrix , tony iommi , michael schenker are the best user of wah
Big Bad Wah for me
Ach schade, hätte dir gerne mal mein Musician Sound Design Silver Machine Wah zum Vergleich zugeschickt. Ein extrem vielfältiges Wah ist das????
another obscure-yet-kinda-famous (to a certain generation) guitar tone that you can only get with a wahwah;
for the first and second Marilyn Manson albums, Scott the guitarist would roll back on the tone knob of his guitar & engage a stock jimi sig wah down on the toe position,
it lent a sort of weird low-fi/rounded top end heavy guitar sound that's impossible to reproduce without doing so (& would also rock back and forth in unison with using the tone knob to get dynamic wah sounds)
Best Wah Effect: Still raining, still dreaming by Jimi Hendrix!
…and since you measured out your vintage wahwahs I expect them to be included in the AmpX, right?
90 minutes of wah-wah (like the funny name) tones. My favourite in design and tone is the small red Hottone wah-wah. Great highlight: your playing of "Papa"-song!
Oh ja! Mach doch noch mal den AB Vergleich mit den Replicas von VOX!
Another great option, was the Boss 'Auto-wah', that you could use with a pedal expression or in auto mode… No scratching pots.
Hello Thomas ! Not really a wah guy here (just sold my old Vox wah, with the old vinyl bag!, Had no use for it), nowdays, when needed, I use the ultimate one, the Ibanez Weeping Demon WD-7 . I did found a use for it, when playing with an 'electronica' band, and used it as a sweeping filter, or sometimes as a tone shaper, for the guitar distortion.I also had one of those old AC-50's sweet sounding amps, that I sold in order to get my dream amp (an 'acoustic' wooden combo). Take care !
ps I will get my Amp1 today!
Cheers and thank you for sharing!
My old Morley compact wah had the most sweep and range of any wah I have owned. I just got a Source Audio
Poly
Mod Filter Po. Killer unit
I have the reissue Vox and Crybaby JP95 wah
I have the reissue Vox and Crybaby JP95 wah
I love the
Morley Bad Horsie
have the donner and a crybaby. have you tried the jam pedals wahcko? best i tried (ask greg koch) next on my list.
I have an Akai Vari wah, which does several sounds. The most interesting is the ability to control rate of swell. It keeps breaking down. I hope to restore it.
there would be no kirk hammet if vox never invented the wah wah ????
As a 90s kid, I got an Ibanez WH-1 black and purple, it really sounded very good but I broke it as soon I started gigging with it, it still worked for 5-6 more years.
Later switched to Crybaby Dimebag signature around 2004, great Wah overall, lots of options and the boost really helped for solos.
Currently have the AMT WH-1 Japanese Baby, great sounding but it is quite small and also Cry Baby Akira Takasaki Fuzz Wah, it’s the first switchless Wah I have, still need to find a way to use it, haven’t played that much with it.
Ich habe deinen Sound mit dem George Dennis Wah immer extrem gefeiert! Liebe Grüße! ????
Your vintage Vox sounds great! So does the other one.
I use a Crybaby Classic but think mine has a fault. Don't play much any more so not sure I'll ever fix it.
I used to use the George Dennis GD30 wah. Now I have the George Dennis Parametric wah, the older one with the controls on the side.
Thanks for sharing ????
