Steve was prolly my fav original member that passed…initially they just kind of let him play along and he wound up one of the most unmistakable guitar players of skynyrd
Man I so wish I was born back then I was born in 1966
check out steve gaines doing "i know alittle" on 1977 street survivors….killer guitar
How sad shortly after Steve was gone. RIP
I was at that show. Lynyrd Skynyrd stole the show! Frampton was the headliner.
Ain't nothing like them
Greatest American rock band of all time
My favorite song was written by J.J. Cale never a fan.
They left us at a time of us needing more of them, RIP for the ones who left too soon ????
Sounded better with Ed King
I sure likes how them southern broads is dancing and shaking ????????????
My favourite song is still I ain't the one.hooked from drum effect intro till the end.Dallas news paper headline"Lynyrd Skynyrd is dead".????. musically they couldn't do more but they would have.there is always a skinnard song being played in most countries.❤ Em.rock n roll.fny.
Damn that lineup was destined for even greater heights of magnificence. Still tears me up all these years later how Ronnie and his band’s lives were cut so abruptly short.
❤❤❤❤❤❤REST IN PEACE❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤????❤AMEN❤❤❤❤
Not bad. Enjoyed the original lineup in 73. Never saw so many guitars lined the stage.
None better.
RIP
They maybe gone but not forgotten there music is timeless
This show took place about 14 weeks before the plane crash that killed 5, including Steve Gaines.
1977 Asheville, Civic Center I was 10 years old!!!!!
Steve Gaines, Ed King, Alan Collins, Gary Rossington…
they had a stable of great guitarists
What now could hold up against this? Nothing kids that's what
Never gets old!
Steve was absolutely one his way to being the ultimate guitar God! My book? He already was!
The OG's
Imagine doing this on a strandberg. Wouldn’t be right.
Steve along with his sister Cassie who was a backup singer along with lead singer Ronnie Van Zant unfortunately died in a plane crash later on that year.
A rocking band
Beautiful
Steve trying to break that Guitar in two and Allen is a sight to see.
If you don't like that, you're Un-American
Great stuff!
These long solos are so Boring.
Fuck I love that band !
Steve was my favorite of the four monsters
Long live LS
Cheers ????
Best band in history…
Makes Kid Rocks ripoff version sound like little baby music.
Two of the best underrated guitarist in the world
Them boys could burn!
Steve Gains probably would have went on & do great music he was a bad ass player! RIP
Think his real gig with the band was the Live album
????????????????
Hey i was there. What a trip.
R.I.P Cassie….
This is how it's done kids!!! LOVE IT
We were there! About 75-80 ft. back from center stage! Good times!
Why they died so young?
Hello there. I went to see this band at knebworth and they didn't show up due to the lead singer being in a Accident.
So amazing to see this footage. My first time and I'm 57yrs old. Been listening as far back as I can remember… thanks!
