Why does every demo I hear with p90s sound like the EQ is in the mud?
330’s are just awesome … recorded some really amazing stuff with my 330 Custom Shop, with Bigsby bringing even more drip to the table ????❤ I’d take 330 over 335 anytime.
If you want that P90 woody sound featured in songs, check out Tina Dickow (or Dico) – Heaven or Hell or Cruel to the Sensitive Kind or A New Situation. Her Gibson 135TC sound is what i've been looking for years. I don't think i've ever found anything like it.
I bought a 1960 330 at auction about 15 or so years ago. That thing was stupid amazing. cherry red finish too. Wish I still had that one.
That 59 looks like it just came out of the factory
I had a ‘59 330 just like that. Original case, case candy, everything near mint. Long gone, sadly. The guitar in this video could be mine.
can someone tell me what a "woody" sound is… note: within a guitar context?
classic, almost beautiful rhett shull tautology-that-could-apply-to-absolutely-everything-descricption of the pickup. ????
thx for never letting us down with your mediocre platitudes.
I would have to sell my car to be able for that guitar
I owned a 61 330
This is quite cringey.
Id love to own thst one- wow
Reminds me of my old Framus Atlantic.❤
Gibsons always sound better with P-90s.
The ES-330 might be Gibson's best electric offering.
$$$$$$$$
Is it possible to balance the EQ of a guitar with the way you wind its coils?
Overrated crap
my 25 year old Epiphone Les Paul sounds just as good
Celebrity guitar store – we have one in Seattle also…
Nothing special about that tone. We'd have the same opinion if there was epiphone on the headstock and it was buily in 2024
Honestly, it’s hard to judge how good this guitar sounds because the recording doesn’t sound very good
"Probably" the best P90 I've ever heard. ???? so confident, yet still unsure.
I still don’t understand how we were sending people to the moon in the 60’s yet in 2024 we still can’t make a guitar as good as we made it in 1959
Low-end, woody, articulate, warm and round…..
Yeah, Ok.
The Lollars in my humble Les Paul sound amazing Warm and round with a lotta low end. Really articulate with a woody kinda sound. I'm serious.
Sounds like crap. Maybe add another 6,000 lbs of reverb and honking bass.
But the new epiphone with p90s probably sounds 4% different for 700 bucks????
How much reverb would you like? YES
Am I the only one who is so tired of over dramatic people? Gah, they're exhausting!
Grant Green
Sounds like a corroded 85 year old p-90 with loose windings. ????.
Wow
These 50s P90s are unbelievably great!
Slim Harpo/Grant Green tone instantly!
Would sound better with a tubescreamer
My first elecrltric guitar! Bought it in 1977 for $249. Traded it for pa equipment in 1981. Stupid me.
Sounds very muddy and muffled in that clip. a lot of bass … that's not how a good P90 sounds (clear, bright enough with some warmess quality, open)
Sounds like muffled crap. Sorry
Why does it sound like the low E is buzzing?
I heard that Voodo Chile jam riff, I HEARD THAT
Placebo is strong in this one.
Ya the salesman got the best line
Absolutely awesome tone! After being on the fence almost 3 years I finally put a p90 in the neck position of my Tele and LOVE it!!.!(But the neighbors don't)
