Bakithi My dude! We chopped it up in Toronto way back. We were on the same bill, he was with Hugh Masekela
Does anyone know where this clip came from?
Bloody Legendary Bass break. You are a proper bass legend sir.
May 10th is the day I died!
This album is great on record
I love how they did that, gives the bass more of a unique sound to it. ????????
I remember Paul Simon wanting to bring South African music to the world and this riff really did that. So did other songs in Graceland that used original tribal instruments.
I don't get it…what he is playing..or whatever he is trying too portrait as wonderful or interesting…ugh..if your a bass player …or just a musician in general …this is what you do…that crap wasn't hard at all..matter of fact..the whole video was kinda dumb…but hey…he got his 5 minutes of fame ..it is what it is I guess….sheesh
Had no idea the second half was backwards!!! Wow, that explains so much
I love this bass line. It is so awesome.
That iconic bass riff is ????????????
I kinda knew way back when I heard it a few times that that second part of the bass solo was backwards. Regardless, it's genius! but this validates what I'd already known.
I love that song
You can call me Al more like AI coz that’s some great level of processing there
So they were BOTH right ☺️☺️
Kiesel– good taste
When you realize that the big artists on the cover would actually be nothing with professional studio musicians…
Thaaaats why it sounds like that at the end.
It sure sounds a lot like the Seinfeld theme
Any “Songs From the Capeman” fans like me out here?
My brother Baketi khumalo
Great Bass line bad performance on the video clip haha! Just look at his hands ffs ????
You would think Paul Simon wouldn't want to rip off a riff
Who is he?
So Paul puts himself in the video pretending to play his bass line…. Wow.
He slaps that bass like some kind of delirious funky priest
Surprise surprise domestic abuse enthusiast Paul Simon was making his black manservant work on his birthday.
Whats the song?
Way cool
Cute
